Just Purchased ZEX Dry kit - Questions...
I bought a ZEX Dry kit on e-bay. Got a pretty good price because there are 3 pieces missing: the jets, the long stainless line, and the bottle brackets.
I had originally wanted a wet kit, but this was a good price. I've greatly researched the wet kit (through FAQ's, posts, etc...) but don't know much about the dry kit.
I'm only planning on running a 50 shot to start off with.
Questions:
1. Do I need to get one step colder or copper plugs? Will the platinum plugs do for a dry 50 shot?
2. Do I have to purchase I high flow fuel pump? I know with the wet kit I didn't have to if a was running just a 50 shot, but does the dry kit need it for such a small shot?
3. Has anyone used the ZEX Ejector Air Amplifier or know heard anything about how good they are?
4. Anything else I need to know about the ZEX kit or running a dry shot in general?
5. If I was going to purchase a wet kit, I was going to hold off on getting the fuel and EGT gauges. So, now that I'll be running dry, are they a necessary componant for this setup?
Thanks in advance!

1) You need to get one step colder plugs.
2) Yes you do, you need a Walbro 255 high pressure pump.
3) Dont use the filter because you dont want to spray the maf on our cars. Mount the nozzle within 6" of TB.
4) I would get a FP and EGT gauge. Def get a bottle heater and a nitrous pressure gauge.
5) They are not necessary but good to have.

Why would I need a high pressure pump, why not just High Flow? What about the 190?
What would happen if I did spray the MAF?

If you look at the flow rating for the high flow 190 pump and the high pressure 225 pump, you will see that it is able to supply enough power for a dry kit because a dry kit uses high pressure on the fuel side to keep the car from running lean. Thus you need a high pressure pump. High flow cant support the amount of fuel at high pressure. You may be able to get away with the 190 high pressure pump but I dont think you will. Plus if you get the high pressure pump you will still need an AFR so this way you will have a lot of leaway with the 255hp over 190hp pump.
Wow thats a mouth full.

You looking for the one here: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....ght=walbro+255
I know with the wet kits the stock fuel pump can handle the job for a 50 shot. Why would it not be the same with a dry 50 shot?

Because you will now be operating not at 43psi at wot put at 80-90psi. The stocker just cant flow enough fuel at those levels and neither can the normal 255, However only the high pressure 255 can flow at those psi. The 190HP would only barely outflow the normal 190 at those fuel levels. Thats why the 255 high pressure is needed.
