I would not use a wet kit with a Mevi, if you want VI then use the 00VI and wet kit.

I contacted NX about this before, and they recommended not using the wet kit with the design of the MEVI.

The fuel from a wet kit puddles up by the butterfly plates, ignites and backfires out you intake. Hal ruined his MAF doing this due to the backfire and the MAF being plastic.

As stated backfires can occur because of the pooling. When people first started running nitrous some would say that wet kits were bad because of the chance of pooling. This was alleviated as no one with a Maxima ever had pooling occur. However, when you add in the MEVI things change because now you definitely have a location for pooling to occur. I've seen oil in that area (probably blow by), so I know liquids can collect up there.

also, would u get a dry kit if u just disconnected the fuel line into the nx kit? more info please!!
If you disconnected the fuel line in a NX kit you would end up with nitrous only and would blow your motor since there is no extra fuel. The dry kits bump up the fuel pressure via the fuel pressure regulator and forces more fuel through the stock injectors. The wet kits mix/supply the fuel with the nitrous directly at the jet in the intake pathway.

We all know it can be done, but being able to pull it off and running a safe nitrous kit are two separate situations. IMHO you're just rolling the dice and hoping things continue to run correctly.

I went out of my way for safety with my nitrous kit and though I didn't run it very much, I had a good experience and my car still runs I should have a 5124 for sale once I finish getting it off the car.

ive got mevi and wet kit, and sc...and i just recently got my sc thrown on and installed the nozzle before the tb and ran the lines and hooked up the soloenoid, im not filling my bottle until someone figures out a way to run wet shot wit mevi....i too have seen oil puddle in there, maybe if u spray once or twice a month, all u do is take the cover off and dry the fuel up? would that help at all? since it puddles in that little area right next to the butterflies?
