Okay so I read that article and it states that the NX bottle heater is controlled by pressure. Does that mean that I can just leave it on and not worry that it's going to go to dangerous levels???? It sux to run to the trunk to check the guage... I was told by somebody that it isn't monitored at all, but the thread below states otherweise... Thanks in advance

do you have somthing that looks like this screwed into your nitous line



if you do then it should turn off the heater at the set pressure which may be adjustable

 

i think most (if not all) brands of bottle heaters are pressure monitered. But running a line to a manual pressure guage on your dash somewhere where you can see what p.s.i you're at while driving, getting ready to race etc. is always nice.

should be right by the bottle in the trunk and should have two wires connected to it

some heaters are controlled by a tempurature thermostat which isnt as accurate as a pressure switch

if you dont have one of these you can easily add one for about $50

Having a gauge is nice...but I wouldn't recommended running a manual line into the cabin especially if the gauge is mounted at face level (i.e. gauge pillars). I remember someone on the .org having an accident with this. Run an electric one for safety's sake.

agreed. i just opted for a manual one due to cost effectiveness, and my poor-as$ed college self. Either way, a gague that you can read while your driving is nice.. in case you're ever racing (track or elsewhere ) its nice to know you're at optimum pressure so that you don't go and emberass yourself when your nitrous doesn't react the way you expect.
