Outta ideas, What's wrong??
Hey there all,
I am wondering if anyone knows why i am all of a sudden getting oil in my short ram intake piping???? I have been running about a 75-100 shot a nitrous, and all of a sudden, When i hit the switch, it just sputters, and back fires... It is the zex wet kit.. When i got home there was oil dripping outta my filter.. I then cleaned out all the oil. then drove about another 20-30 miles, using no nitrous, and still getting oil in intake piping.. I did a compression test thinkin i was getting blow-by, but still 195-200 all around.. runs perfect not slugish or anything now... no oil in coolent... I am outta ideas......

A compression test is not always a good indicator as far as leakdown and blow-by are concerned. 195-200 seems kinda high as well, how are you doing your compression test? Warm motor with all 6 plugs removed?
if the plugs are oil soaked it may not be able to light off the extra fuel with spray
i would pull the plugs and see what they look like
also if oil is leaking out the filter wouldnt the oil be coming from the valve cover breathers and not the pcv since the pcv is in the intake manifold?
if so i would just disconect the valve cover breather and plug the hole in the intake and see if it runs fine

If he is getting a lot of oil coming out of the valve cover breather all the sudden, something is up with his motor. That much sudden blow-by is not a good sign, but he needs to check it out further first.

Not sure whats in that purple box but if you have proper nitrous pressure to the nozzle and proper fuel pressure then its gotta work unless there is something gone in the engine. Sometimes a burnt valve or piston doesn't appear to reduce power but when you spray its a different story.
Sorry I just re-read the first post. If you are still getting oil running without spray then as Matt suggest find the reason for that first.
Funny, I got a notification that someone named 'toolrocks' replied with a message to this thread and I can't see it on the thread.
I'm going to all of the trouble to say this because I really think this person has a great idea:
"I would check the PCV valve and make sure the nirtrous jet didn't spin around in the TB and is now pointing towards the MAF."
The jet not pointing correctly could cause all of your problems that you are describing IMO. If you are stilll having these problems, it can't hurt to check.

This is kinda what started happening when I blew up my engine last year. I had a couple of large scrapes in the side wall of one of the cylinders, and I was pushing a bunch of oil up into the intake manifold. You probably at least need to pull the upper intake manifold to see what is happening, and to thoroughly clean the oil out of it. Are you running a wet kit spraying before the throttle body? This is what caused my problems.
