spray...

well ive been looking at gettin spray for a while now. im sure that i want a wet kit and from what ive heard i need to get a zex kit so that it will work with my drive by wire. if i wire it for the WOT, if i just put a toggle switch in my car somewhere will that make it fire? about how long will it take someone that haz zero spray experience but can deal with the majority of interior and under the hood work? how difficult is it to wire this all up?

You don't have to get the ZEX kit. I just purchased the NX kit and everything is fine. All you have to do is put the WOT swich under the accelerator pedal and it will spray when you are floored if activated. Easy install just take your time.

I havn't hooked up a system on a maxima but they are pretty universal and simple. You're going to need to splice some wires for sure though. It'll come with detailed instructions so it'll be real simple. Plus you have unlimited sapport from on-line communites

I would think if you just zip-tied the w.o.t switch closed and used a window switch, it'll activate by rpm and you'll be safe and risk free. No rigging up the switch under the peddle. Or rigging a push bottle like fast and furious (oh god)

are you serious?!?!?!?!?!? thats crazy man, that means the nitrous will fire during normal driving, and anytime the rpms go above 3k (w/e rpm u set it to) its going to spray even if you are not racing. you HAVE TO USE THE WOT SWITCH NO MATTER WHAT!

^^^ What he said....

I put the WOT switch on the throttle-body. Easier to adjust.

For NmexMAX:
"I used the switch that came with the NX kit, the one that mounts on top the throttle body."

It would only spray if it was armed. The kit comes with an arming (toggle switch) and a wide open throttle switch. This window switch idea would work but then why wouldn't you just bypass the WOT swich and let the window swich operate it when armed?

Normally you'll have an activation switch to turn the relay on/off.
If you don't go with a relay and just rigg it to a wot switch that is your call but isn't the way it's normally done.

I don't know. I assumed there wasn't anything that could trip the switch because the t/b is electronicly controlled.
I don't own a maxima, just kinda assumeing at this point because if someone put it under there pedel that means he couldn't of put it on his throttle body.

It would be a cleaner install and have the benefit of a window/s, but the down side it can only be used in drag raceing and can't down shift while activated.
I'm just giveing my opinon on how I'd do it.
Kinda a bad idea if you don't just use it for the strip only.

I can see some one letting off at high rpm without switching it off and boom. lol

You should not bypass the WOT, if the TB is electronic then you can get a TPS switch. but you HAVE TO have some sort of WOT switch. otherwise ur going to have to worry about only turning on the botton when you are at wide open throatle, its just too dangerous. Its too much of a risk. i strongly suggest if there is no cable driven TB to get a TPS switch.

From: Auburn WA,
There is a black post under the gas pedal. I mounted my WOT swich on the top of that. As soon as I am floored the swich clicks and then it is on. Very simple.
