-Any IHRA or NHRA sanctioned track will require this blow-off cap in all classes when you run with nitrous oxide. This is a safety device that fits on the bottle. If your nitrous system creates too much pressure, this will allow it to bleed off through the vent tube, which exits outside the vehicle.

im actually looking for a blowdown tube myself because i wanna go to the track and they require it. are they universal with all bottles. i have NX 10lb

 

Yes, they are universal to all bottles, and they are mandatory at the TRACK. I couldnt run my car because of it, PLease P.M. Me if your interested. It is also Brand New in its Packaging, ALso to put the Blow down tube on the Bottle you i believe its necessary to have the blow OFF Cap that im also selling which is in the thread. Does the blow-off cap go on the end of the blow-down tube outside the car?
I went to the track the other day and they told me I need a tube but didn't say anything about a cap.

 

No, the blow off cap goes on the nitrous bottle cylinder thats hooked on the side of the bottle. Then the blow down tube hookes on the Blow off Cap.

So either way In order to put a blow down tube or some kind of braided steel hose with a 8AN fitting you NEED the Safety Blow-OFF Cap.

Umm Ya. It basically fittings that screw on to the bottle then you screw the fittings on the blow down tube.

so the blowoff cap is kind of like a nipple. u screw into the bottle and the sticking out part has thread so u can screw in the blow down tube?

 

Correct, but the Nipple- is where the cap opens to release the presuure then the blow down tube is to direct the vent.
