Our cars are drive-by-wire, so what wire do I need to hook up (throttle) in order to make the ZEX kit work?

Just a wild guess, but is it the middle wire that comes out of the sensor on the throttle body?

Under your gas pedal, there are 2 wires. Tap into the one that gives you the strongest signal......hence, you would need to check this with a voltage meter.

Thanks so much for your answer. I am about to go outside to look, but is there a sensor on the TB that I can use? Is the gas pedal method the one you used?

I'm not sure of one near the tb, I've just used the one at the pedal. If you test the wires at the tb the same way, you might be able to save yourself from going through the fire wall with this connection. Then you can tell me which one you used.

Will do. Would you happen to remember what color the wire was?

Bump. I really need the answer. Everything is hooked up besides the TPS. There is a 5 to 6 wire plug that is hooked up to the pedal btw...

whazzzzuup - sorry for the late reply man.....i tapped into the white wire at the pedal, it gave me the strongest signal. I wouldn't use the pin at the ecu since the one at the pedal is easier to connect and closer to the hole in the firewall. sorry bout that, hope you get it today.

It is weird. I hooked it up to the white wire on the throttle body location, and it did not work. There are the same wires on the pedal as on the throttle body. So i just went ahead and hooked it up to the ecu. Soo easy, I think, as compared to reaching up to get to the pedal plug.

The easiest way to tap the TPS if your using the ZEX kit on the VQ35 is by the electronic TB itself; is the far lower right(closer to the firewall); its white; good strong signal too.

Well, somehow that didn't work for me. The ZEX kit did not respond to that wire.

The ZEX kit was the easiest kit for me to install. I will post pictures later of my setup.

Pictures after the install. I regret not taking pictures of the install process. I forgot my camera at my apartment that day. So here they are, the result of the "invisible" install.

ZEX switch (left) and DR mod switch (right):

Another view of the intake box (GAB):

The TPS wire is tapped via the ECU wiring btw. The "microswitch" is tapped into the "MODE" button on the steering wheel. Now pressing "MODE" doesn't just change the radio to CD source anymore! I use the switch because I don't want it to spray in between shifts.

Close-up of the nozzle. Hard to see and focus on, even in direct sunlight:

T-tap into the soft fuel line; leads to fpr. Hidden underneath the TB region/coupler:

All the wiring and lines were hidden in wire loom. The 16' line from the bottle to ZEX box was run along the kick panel of the car. A picture of the fuel and nitrous feed line from the ZEX solenoid box (hidden underneath the intake box):

Looks sweet. I have a few questions about n2o & a reprogramed ECU. It's definitly something I need to do.

Clean install. Have you sprayed yet? what size of shot do you have in?

I'm spraying at the track this week. There is a 75 shot pill in there. It ran 14.3 in 96 degree weather with my 17 year old cousin driving. I was at work that day, and I told him to take it to the track for me. The car should be able to get into the 13s without nitrous, with me driving and 20 degree cooler weather. I want to get a low to mid 13 second run with nitrous.

low to mid 13s is definately a high possibility I havent sprayed at the track either but check out my dyno with nitrous its very damn accurate http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=471519t im hoping to get very low 13 maybe super high 12s. BTW how much do you pay for a pound of nitrous in OK?

I'm about to install my NX kit, the only problem I'm having is where to mount the bottle. Do you have any pictures of where you mounted the bottle, could you possibly take some undercar shots?

Just put it in a spot where it doesn't interfere with anything;the trunk, preferably. I ran the 16' line into the car. You can't see anything from underneath.
