I am pretty sure with the bottle warmed to the correct psi, better seal on the nitrous nozzle and cai installed I will hit 13's. I am hoping the 100shot, fuel pump, afpr, 2.5inch b-pipe, muffler & shift_fast box this will net me mid 13's
well myself and a few org members went to the track last night and the car ran better
changes since last time, cai, down to a 75shot and got the bottle psi to 950
the car ran 2tenths and 1mph faster than last time but still did not hit 13's

Could you post your slip's numbers??? I'm sure a few folks are interested - besides me....

with the 65shot I would run between 14.5-14.3 but with the 75shot I ran 14.3all night and with better traction my times would have been better plus my bottle was alittle low the highest I could get it was 900psi. next time out I will have a fresh bottle and a new 2.5 cat back exhaust it looks like I will see the biggest improvement with this mod
And as for my runs with the 85shot I was so mad at my times, I threw the slips in the trash before I even left the track but I made 3 runs and they were all around 2.1 to 2.2-60ft(spinning) .. 14.5xx-1/4 at 92mph
it's nice to see improvement next I will be installing a 2.5 inch cat back exhaust, I think this will help alot with the spray

Not bad 60' times. Your bottle pressure is kinda low - 1100 psi is desirable.
Your trap speed seems low, and the difference in speed at the 1/8 and 1/4 is about 17 MPH. IMHO, with a 75-shot, you are still low on power.... Better-breathing exhaust will help.
Keep slugging away at it - you'll get faster and quicker.

Low traps = low power. DON'T open the spark gap - it should be .035 with a 75-shot, and two steps colder, copper-cored plugs - these are the cheap ones. If the gap is too large, you will have power drop at the high end - that's why I use my "Voltage Boosta". Any idea of the state of your knock sensor?
Be sure your intake path is clear, fuel pressure is correct, fuel filter is fresh, and see what happens with the exhaust. Intake air really only affects NA performance. When you spray, you're putting the air in with nitrous, and it burns with the extra fuel. Exhaust is more important....

the reason why I was thinking about playing with the gaps cause I know the heat range and gap can effect power. with the plugs gaped at .040 do you think I am misfiring in the upper rpms and this maybe killing my power
Hmmmm I think I'll get a extra set of plugs gap them to .037 and make a pass with the old plugs new exhaust then new plugs and new exhaust to see what happens
again thanks playing with the maxima is teaching me alot and getting myself ready for the truck
the cutout will not help on the street and I will have to run it after the cat. plus I will have to pay some-1 to cut and weld it in with my old pipe and the only thing I am by-passing it the muffler and a few feet of exhaust.
for the cost of a electric cutout and labor, I'll just get the budget b-pipe without the res for 200 shipped and a high cat from my buddy for like 20bucks and install it myself

I used .035 at 125-shot, and lost top-end power until I went to .030. Then I installed my Voltage Boosta set to 16 volts and opened back up to .035 at 150-shot, and trapped 104+ MPH over and over again. The top-end loss is sneaky - your car just doesn't pull hard at the top. Of course having a small N2O line from the trunk added to that drop in power... The new Alaskan pipeline feels MUCH stronger - on the street.
Copper-core plugs, two steps colder, set to .035, and you won't have problems up to at least 100-shot. Then you gap to .030 or install the Voltage Boosta, cut the ground straps off and side-gap the plugs, use race gas (Sunoco 104 or VP Street Blaze 103) and go nuts with the spray.
All this stuff keeps engine #3 in one piece over one whole season, and it's just getting warmed up.. It's a good ol' junkyard dog.
hey I finaly hit 13's but it was in my truck and not the max still waiting on the b-pipe
I ran the truck grey style 2 sub's, toolbox and full interior and got a 13.69, hopefully next time a bring the maxima out it will be running 13's also

All I need to do is add 60s-LA-style curtains inside the car, and "grey style" will take on a whole new meaning! Heh. You probably don't remember that one, though. I lived in East Oakland for a while in the mid-60s - what a car and bike scene - unreal.

2nd run was a 13.80 @ 102mph with a 2.19 60ft spun alittle
3rd run was a 13.69 @ 102mph with a 2.11 60ft still spinning alittle
I have to find traction somewhere, I normally get 1.9-2.0 60fts for some reason I could not hook that night. the toolbox and subs are always in the truck I am pretty sure I need the extra weight anyway. I sure if I had 1 more run I would have gotten a 13.4XX
I my b-pipe came yesterday and installed late night. I now have a full 2.5" exhaust from the y-pipe back with a magna flow high flow cat and flow master muffler the only thing stock on the exhaust now is the headers
so now I am going to change the plugs and regap them from .041 to .038 and see what happens

I have BFG DR on there now and do well with them but wanted to bump up to a 75 shot
I also spray out the gate!
