Nitrous Discuss dry, wet, and direct port nitrous setups. How many shots can you handle?

In your opinions how necessary are these?

* Please only people that have knowledge and experience with nitrous respond, I dont want random people throwing answers out ******

Ok I have searched but none of my searches answer my questions.

I have just purchased the zex wet kit 82021 for my 2k3 6SP Max

There are three things that I know are good to have but I wanna know how necessary they are. If you had to pick what order would you get them in?

- I do plan on buying all the following but only have so much money and want to get the best bang for my buck.

1. Zex Bottle Warmer
2. Zex Liquid Filled Nitrous Gauge
3. Zex Remote Bottle Opener/Closer

Thanks alot for your help.

Get the bottle warmer and the gauge. Remote opener is nice but not a must have.

Do I need these right away or can I wait like a month or so?

IMO you should get them right away. Proper bottle pressure is a must for safe nitrous operation. If your not at the proper bottle pressure, your not going to make proper power. Why waste the nitrous if its not making the power you want it to? A pressure gauge will show you that your at the proper level and ready to use.

Sorry, thats what I meant by proper bottle pressure. The only way to get it is with a bottle heater. Heating the bottle increases the pressure of the nitrous inside, you need a bottle heater to do that properly.

Alrite man I took your advice and now I have ordered the Zex wet kit, Zex bottle warmer, and Zex Liquid Filled gauge.

Anything else you would recommend either immediately or in the near future?

Thanks again for the help.

get the gauge now its $35 on ebay and the heater get it whenever you can. It will help out alot with bottle pressure. The remote bottle opener it would be nice to have they are about $200 and not a must have.

yes a fuel pressure safety switch would be good. if while spraying your fuel pressure drops the system will shut off

How do I do that? Or what do I have to buy?

ebay should have fuel pressure safety switch, althouhg if for some reason your fuel gets cut off, by the time the switch reacts your engine is already blow, how ever, having your fuel pressure suddenly drop is not likely unless you have a really crappy fuel pressure regulator.

I would recommend getting a/f gauge to make sure you don't run lean. Wideband would be ideal but costly. I personally got a window switch for mine and it was set to spray at 3000rpm -6400rpm at full throttle.

Make sure you are getting at least 1 step colder copper plugs as well and that they are properly gapped.

Thanks for the responses guys!

For now until I get it tuned and upgrade other things it will stay at a 55 shot.

Wont my car kinda run like crap if I put copper plugs in my car since its an 03 and calls for iridiums?

I thought on zexs website it says you dont need colder plugs unless higher than a 55 shot?

May be a stupid question, but how exactly does a window switch work?

trust me you will go to a higher shot and quickly

stock plug should be fine with a 55shot, I did not notice any changes in my plugs till I went to a 65shot then I switch to a colder plug in the winter or on cooler days the car does take alittle longer and I mean just alittle to warm up but other then that nothing else changed but I do have a 97

and a window switch will allow you to control what rpm the nitrous will turn on and off
