grey99max, I thought you wold like this

I finally got a good setting with the fjo nitrous controller, still alot of room for improvement but a ran a 12.9@107 in my truck

this is the funny part I did it your way with my toolbox in the bed with full interior, subs pumping and no weight reduction

now it's back to the max, going to install a mevi, 100shot and maybe a 2400tc and hope for a mid to low 13sec pass

Daymn straight - that's a man's race car! None of this stripping a car down to where it's just a beer can with wheels! I forget - do you have a 350 in the truck?

I just came back early from the Heartland Park Lucas 5th Region Nationals - I left when all the alcohol cars had finished and the bracket racing started. I hate bracket racing. Such fine cars - such stupid rules.

I ran into a new nitrous product from a local company - check it out:

http://www.nanonitrous.com/ Check it out.

They have some good ideas about keeping nitrous pressures up during a full pass.

Good job w/the truck.

man that thing cost more than some nitrous kits, luv the idea but just to costly and not enough info. I wonder how many passes would a bottle of nano last on a 100shot, think I would try a 15lb bottle 1st

also I noticed they did not use anything less then a 180shot, so I am guessing it does not work as well with anytihng smaller which is what I use

keep the info coming have to keep these turbo guys in my mirror

The product was running on a PINKS car Aug 10 or 11...

ahhh v8 s10. i love them. I came across one the other day had a quick run and we stayed even, he had lack of traction in 1st gear so thats why i was able to stay ahead of him. when he caught traction he came side by side and we stayed there for a while till we let off, it was nice, 2000+ model, with an LS2.

I spent some time talking to one of the owners while at Heartland Park - within limits, they seem to have a working system. They did have a 800HP Nova running exhibition at the PINKS tapings on Aug10-11 at KCIR's dragstrip, and it ran well. He is interested in my car when the new motor is finished - another racer using their product, I guess, but we didn't talk prices....

Their main claim-to-fame is keeping bottle pressure high and constant through the whole 1/4 mile - and getting most of the nitrous out of a bottle, instead of half the bottle. Of course this requires buying and refilling their nitrous bottles and the gas bottles and misc. tubing.

I'm not yet convinced it's any better than a heated 15lb bottle...

I think if they can somehow get the price down around the price of a 15lb bottle more people would look into it, at the current price point I would rather add a 2nd stage or run a 15lb instead of a 10lb bottle

I like the idea but do not like the fact I will have another bottle to fill on top of the price

did they say how many passes their bottle would last on a 100shot?

Their graphs show that they can get about 90% of the nitrous out of the bottle - their bottle -and full pressure. That is much better than a standard bottle, which goes to heck around 50% of nitrous weight. A second stage just makes the delivery problem worse - pressure drops as you pull liquid from the bottle - and it gets colder inside.

A quick way to maintain pressures for the full run would be to parallel two heated 15lb bottles. Tough on the battery, but pressures would stay up better and liquid nitrous would be available much longer. Their bottle is modified to have a pickup tube much closer to the bottom of the bottle - why couldn't we do that with a standard bottle?

Oh, "did they say how many passes their bottle would last on a 100shot?"..

They didn't have data about any one shot......

A 150-shot for the entire 1/4 uses about 1 3/4 lbs in my car - that's about 1.2 lbs for a 100-shot by calculation. They claim 90% is available from the bottle, so should have eleven full 100-shot passes in one full bottle - that ain't bad.

90% is pretty decent.
