having the motor forged for a 200 shot of nitrous. i've been told the build will reliably do a 300 shot with some c16 race gas, im not going that far though. here is the list of everything being done:

High compresson forged Pistons, forged rods, new bearings, seals, timing chain and components, machine work, head studs, head gaskets, new main bolts and flywheel bolts, machine work (bore/hone, surface block and heads, valve job, new valvestem seals, hot tank and prep for blueprint/assembly.

Nitrous setup- (includes bottle heater)

Progressive controller

High pressure 255lph pump

Wideband (AEM UEGO A/F monitor)

im also doing cams and ported intake manifold.

i wanted 300whp before nitrous but i wont be seeing that. hopefully, i can get 275 before the nitrous.

anyway, what do you guys think?

High CR pistons w/ N2O How high will the CR be after the pistons? What will be the the new displacement after the bore? What constitutes 'machine work'? Why new timing chain components, how do/will they differ from the stock units? Pretty sure the stock rods are already forged.

High comp and nitrous go well together as long as it's tuned properly...

Yup, more CR, less timing, just hoping the OP knew that.

200 shot will still easy put me at almost 400 hp.. thats no traction until 4th gear at least.. a 300 shot isnt worth it to me to go and pay for race gas and a standalone fuel system just for my daily driver.

Good god, man - you want to spray a modded 3.5 with a 200-shot? A built and cammed 3.5 should make 240 whp without ignition advance and futzing with an EU. With real headers and 200-shot ... 420 whp. A 300-shot will just create a pile of spare parts to sell to the *ORG.

If you have ballz, you'll use a boosted-pressure VLSD automatic as well. With shaved-ground spark plugs and serious race gas designed for high compression and nitrous - read: VP Racing Street Blaze 103 or Sunoco 104 - and NO ignition advance or high-compression pistons, you will create enough HP to discover that you really need serious tires to hook up.

I assume you are going to go to the drag strip with this creation - it won't be safe on the street.

Not that I have ever sprayed before , but my cammed/headered/3.5 will be sprayed this year - oh, yeah...

with the progressive controller, not all of the 200 shot will be sprayed at once. little at a time... that way i can still handle the car ya know.

Well, you wanted opinions. Frankly, if you can make that work, I would really like to see your car run. And all the details, too.

Good luck. Really.

a stock 3.0 can handle a 200shot at around 5000rpms, I would suggest regapping your piston rings and not running high c/r or timing. also I am sure spark blow will be a problem and you may want to look into something to boost voltage

also I hope you do not plan to spray the whole 300shot thur 1 nozzle

If it's a dd I wouldn't go any higher than 12:1 unless you like using race fuel all of the time. If you were to spray with high compression, I'd use race fuel or methanol injection and a good tune of course.
