well i went ahead and got a ACT street clutch. i've finally learn...no more ebay for me with important car parts ... i've lucked out too many times before. haha.

G4nismo.... do you have any good 1/4 mile tracks around your area? arkansas has none...haha. i would seriously drive your way to run at a 1/4 mile track later this semester when the weather gets cooler. maybe some other org memebers could come too? it would be fun to meet up and see some other org members and their rides

Are any of these Arkansas tracks close to you?

http://www.vansenusauto.com/dragstri...tate=/State/AR

Or these Missouri tracks? Rogersville MO maybe ??

http://www.vansenusauto.com/dragstri...tate=/State/MO

just a thought.... some of these are less than a 1/4 mile, I see...

grey....the track i always go to is centerville dragway. its in that link you gave me...thanks for the link btw. its a 1000' track. its like 15 mins from where i live. the closest 1/4 mile is i think 4-5 hours away?...something like that. what i would really enjoy doing is meeting up with some .org members to race...and G4nismo said something. your in kansas....maybe i can come racing there some time! show you the nitrous setup...

i went to tulsa speedway like back in march or something?...the weather sucked though!...i just want to meet some .org member and show up other cars with our maxima's

Yup, I live in Topeka KS.. it does suk when looking for other Maxima racers - no one local like that here. Get yourself here and we can hit a track.

My local track is here: http://hpt.com/store/catalog/ Nationals and Regionals every season...... plus SCCA races (it's their national headquarters) and a dirt track on the grounds.

The best track in the area is in Kansas City - KCIR: http://www.kcir.net/ crazy place and two Test-n-Tune sessions most every week. Can have over 100 cars there - street scene there is wild. PINKS is coming there again in August! They were there last year - it was a fun day for me.

MoKan is further south of Kansas City: another serious track..

dang missouri is a happening place!! haha

i'm roughly 5 hours from kansas city. i'm thinking to come when its cooler maybe like the end of october or beginning of november. would you go to kansas city to race? heat is killing my track times right now....its awful.

there is a BIG import night on the 27 of september at centerville the 1000ft track. i'm trying to get my car ready by the next couple weeks so i can practice with the 75 shot and slicks. i'm hoping to do pretty well and possibly win some money at this event. its a once a year thing so there should be a decent turnout. that night for sure i will get video

the closest 1/4 track is in darlinton (http://www.darlingtondragway.com/) which is like 75 miles from columbia.
me and a bunch of Usc people in USC motorsports are doing a group drag strip day on the 13th of august. it should be pretty fun considering this will be my first time out. heres a good link of all the strips:
http://www.speedwaysonline.com/HTML/...ragstrips.html

yeh, i wish you lived closer so it would be easier to meet up.
theres ABSOLUTELY no true maxima enthusiasts here in SC. i've seen maybe like 2 or 3 w/ light cosmetic mods but thats it. it sucks, i'm pretty much the only heavily modded 4rth gen here lol

thanks perkman87

G4nismo....yeah i'm feelin' ya man. there isn't a maxima enthusiast soul in arkansas! haha. i go to the 1000' track with all these rednecks and they just look at my car and shake their head...hahaha...but then they saw the dual purge and me owning the other SRT-4's and honda's and they are like.......haha. dang i wish there were some maxima dudes around here....but in the next couple weeks when i go back with slicks and 75 they will be.......sorry got into the animation dudes a little too much! haha

G4nismo...first time to the track?? dude its awesome!! you will have a blast. you do other kinds of racing though correct?....considering the stuff on the side of the car??

yeh, i autocross pretty often. im actually still in my season.
i'm stoked about the drag day though. i'm gonna like strip everything out in my car!
i really, really wanna crack the 13's but thats most likely not gonna happen w/ my setup.
so i guess i'm shooting for low 14s...

i would love to do autocross!! how well is the maxima with your class? do you compete well with everyone else? and what class is it?

dude if you don't scrap 13's your gunna be darn close. change your wheels to some 15's if you can. but with the heat now i don't know if it will happen or not...i know with this freakin humidity and arkansas heat i was like .5 slower than normall....in the 1000 ft!!! after 00vi! haha....sucks. youll have a blast though man! but i'm thinking autocross might be a little more fun

i'm in STS class right now. currently in 2nd place overall in the standings but dunno if i can hold that. some of the other guys in my class are pretty good.
maxima tends to understeer a lot though, need to buy a RSB sometime

yeh i have my stock steelies, i was just going to change the fronts but do you think i should change all around? i weighed my 17s and 15s w/ tires and there were only like a couple pound difference. the heat will kill me though. were hitting high 90's even 100+ the last several days.

STS? what kind of car are in that class? i'm not familiar with that...great job on second place!!! that's freakin awesome!!

nah...just the fronts are fine to change. sorry if i gave wrong info there. the reason 15's are good is for one weight but also diameter. smaller diameter will give you some better times. not too small though....

steelies aren't that light though....i went to a junk yard a bought some 15'' stock sawblades....they mounted up just nicely with slicks..freakin light too..i'm looking forward to seeing how they will do!!

yeah bro...that heat's gunna kill your times for sure. maybe no 13's now but i'd say when it gets cooler and you get some really good sticky tires...slicks....youll see 13's i would think.

yeh STS is street touring. there couple of focuses, wrx (not sti), mr2's, pretty mid rang average cars but there still quick.

yeh, just 1 more week until i hit the track, can't wait. i dunno if i'll ever get slicks since obviously i don't drag much. so whats your best time so far?

awesome bro! let us know!

my local track is 1000' track. my best so far is a:

2.09 60'
9.1xx 1/8th mile at 77.11
11.7xx 1000' at 88.xx

that time should give a very low 14 second run....i would say like 14.1 or 14.2xx...that was with the USIM early this year when it was still cool outside. so with the 00vi now i'm sure i'll break 13's...but only when the weather is good.

ahh w/ the USIM huh? i'm soooo glad i'm 00vi swapped now lol. but i'm still yearning for more power. i just wanna win the lottery and buy a 800hp supra and call it a day lol!

were you running nitrous during that time?
