WAIT A MINUTE!!!!! You are going to use my DRs on a 150 shot

Dude if you **** them up you gotta buy me new tires...

Nope. I can't go. Something came up....

Although, I'll still be testing the 150 shot in a few days.

That's been my plan for spraying on top of the boost, why not have the option of only using the racegas when you need to use it right?

+1, its the only way to spray a big shot on any car. I wouldn't consider 150 really all that big, but it definitely wouldn't hurt to have a standalone fuel system for the kit.

My experience with big shots on the street is: don't do it! A 150-shot makes your car lose all traction immediately. A 175-shot is nuts - I know, I've done it. I'm set up for that now, using two stages, and the third stage is coming. The most I can use on the street with 10" BFG DRs is a 75-shot.

IMHO - You should be at the track if you spray the heavy shots - and you can easily pump out the normal fuel and put in race gas for the day. This is much safer and less complicated to live with.

My bottle is full and I tested it tonight. I sprayed 2nd gear for 1-2 seconds just to make sure it was working. I didn't have any traction, it just spun. FYI, I am using some BFG 235/45-17's and a functioning VLSD. Good times!

Tomorrow, I'll spray 3rd gear and maybe 4th. Then, I'll pull the plugs and post some pics.

just take it easy on MY tires and YOUR tires should still be decent... but that 150 shot did feel pretty decent, wonder what traction would be like.

I sprayed 2nd and 3rd today and it ran really good. I would have sprayed it sooner, but I've been super busy. I'll post some pics of the plugs tomorrow.

when do you get 100% nitrous cause I have mine set to kick in a 4-45k depending what tires I have on the car and it still spins and when I shift into 2nd spins right to redline again.

now I do not even bother on the street with a 100shot, less I am testing

its weird because @WOT I am at 4000 when I shift into second so they hit pretty much simultaneously....

this is the only way I have ran the shot so far... I havent adjusted because I keep winning..

I sprayed a couple times last night and I took some pics of the plugs. The plugs look really good, imo. They're a little hard to read because they aren't new anymore, but they are still readable. No signs of detonation or pre-ignition. There's a very slight haze of green and a few white spots which is normal, imo. The white comes from ethanol in the pump gas and I think we all know about the green... lol

Thanks!

The side gap is used to reduce the chance of pre-ignition (glow plug effect). If there less material on the ground strap, the ground strap wont get as hot. If the ground strap gets too hot, it can melt and/or glow which can cause the af mixture to ignite long before the piston reaches tdc, which will try to spin the engine backwards causing it to explode....

I'm using side gapped (.035") 2 step colder ngk coppers on a ve.

Here's a 2nd gear afr log (4k-6.5k rpm). I didn't purge to try to help with traction, but it didn't really help much. lol. FYI, not purging causes it to run rich when it first hits. My numbers seem a little lean because there wasn't much load on the engine because it was 2nd gear. If I logged in 4th I would it expect the afr to be about 12:1 flat.

OK - those plugs look great !! Lots of photos - lots.. The rings around the top of the shells look nice and dark-grey, the ends of the ground straps have good color (not lean) and you did a nice job cutting off the ends of the ground straps. I'm impressed.

Did you get any timing slips, or did you not go to a strip ? I like the purge location - I put mine in the center of the back of the hood, straight up - gives the other guy a fair warning and the track announcer a chance to make a wiseass comment or two.

Good luck with the car...

I haven't been to the drag strip yet because I've been busy swapping my friends S14 240sx. I also blew my 3rd-4th shift fork again....

even though I am already at 4K when I hit the switch the first part of the ramp is triggered, 35%, then right when I hit 55k which is pretty quick, 65%....

it does not work like that you don't add them together, whatever % you select what you are getting at that moment

if you do 35% at 3k and 65% at 55k it means your running a 35shot at 3k and it will ramp up to a 65shot at 55k rpms and keep that setting till redline

holy jeez......

i was wondering why I already want more....

I did not set up this system, a friend of mine did the install and set everything up...

I am using the NOS mini two stage proggressive controller...

I need to go into the controller and see exactly where everything is set... this is the way I was told he set the ramp and I was not around to verify...

pretty crazy because I have beat some fast cars on this setup including an 03' GT on 125 pills...

I am baffled...

that is not the way I understood, but I do get what you are saying..

I am pretty sure he has it set up right I just havent gone through the settings...

it is probably set for 35%@3500 and 99%@5500

I will take a look today...

been kind of scared to mess with it but screw it, car is down due to master and slave replacement..

what do u think my optimum setup would be for this shot??? RPM/percentage wise....

I had mine set to start at 35% at 3000rpms and ramp up to 100% 4 to 45k rpms depending on what tires I had on the car and it would brake loose soon as I hit 4k

I was going to up it to 100% at 45-4600rpms depending on what my rpms drop to when I shift and bring the ramp in slower to see if that helps. But then I say *** it and will just get some slicks and stop spraying on the street less I am testing
