With 2 races left I decided to try and run the Semi-Pro class (11.99) and quicker. I am back to a stock engine after blowing the last one up trying out a 200 shot on the highway when the fuel solenoid froze. This happened the fall of 2010 so I raced all last year and this season N/A. So thinking ahead, I want to run Semi-pro with the G35, I decided to try the spray again to see if I could hit the 11.99 mark without hitting it with too big a shot. So I tuned it with a 75 shot on the methanol and went to the track last night to test.

N/A is now in the 13.2 range without cams, SSIM, V-Manage etc. 1st run at 22 deg timing netted a 12.116 @ 112 mph 1.73 60' so I knew I was in the ballpark. Did 3 more runs and upped the timing to 26 deg and 11.9's appeared. Best was a 11.974 and a 60' of 1.721. I do have another 75 shot 2nd stage on the cruise control button if required but I didn't exercise the option. I'll save that for the race next weekend. Not bad for a stock block with only headers and stock suspension as well. I really like the methanol vs race gas, you can get it anywhere, its cheap and my washer bottle is my race gas fuel cell.

You cut better 60' than half of my friends with RWD cars.

My buddy has a 640whp turbo mustang on a 28" drag radial and he only cuts 1.8's.

Impressive.

You know whats even funnier? I did one launch in 2nd by mistake and it did a 1.86, N/A runs were high 1.9's and low 2.0's.

A 75 shot launch starting in 2nd gear? I'm glad nothing broke by spraying at 2000rpm.

Good luck with the last two races. I hope you get the car dialed in. Is it bracket racing or an 11.99 index race?

Awesome Jime, what stall converter are you using for these runs? I am prepping my car to spray off the line (might just spray the whole 1/4 on top of the 15psi+methanol). I am going with a 50shot which should spool the turbo in 1st gear almost instantly to 15psi (hopping to get similar 60's)

Also, quick fact, if you go to a parts store and get bottles of Heet (yellow bottle), its 99% methanol =) iv been using that as my meth for a few years now. lol.

Side question, what nozzle size/pump pressure are you using in meth to make up for the 75shot?

Its 11.99 and quicker bracket. Next weekend is my second last race, two day $1200 for win each day in semi-pro and $800 for sportsman so I double enter.

Stock converter my edge racing one stripped a bolt a while back.

I buy 1 gal jugs of methanol 99% for $10 and run it undiluted.

I will have to check my chart when I get home for the jet sizes, we are at a family reunion this weekend. Pump pressure is around 150 psi. Fuel jet is around 50% larger than stock.
