You are looking at a 1996 Volvo 850 GLT that has been well cared by it's single owner ever since it was purchased brand new at Englewood Volvo in Englewood NJ in 1995. Throughout this car's life, it has been serviced at the dealer as well as other reputable independent service retailers. I will be including all the service records (including warranty repair records) that I have with me. This car was NEVER smoked in.
THE GOOD This Volvo has had the brakes (Rotors and pads) changed recently, along with recently installed Bridgestone Potenza RE040 Pole Position Tires all around (80% tread remaining). The oil does not need to be changed for another 1500 miles, and the car runs and shifts flawlessly. The radio works perfectly and sounds great. All the electronics and lights within the car work, except the A/C which needs a charge. The dark Grey leather in the car is in great shape and the only noticeable wear is on the driver's side bolster, which is rather minor. I can ensure the buyer that this car drives straight, solid and smooth. This car also has passed inspection and has a sticker good till 5/2008 in the state of NJ.
THE NOT SO GOOD This car is almost 12 years old, and has never been in an accident that required body work. That said, there are some flaws in the body that I must point out. I tried my best to take pictures of all the flaws, but pictures never seem to do the car justice. It would be best if you contacted me, and looked at the car for yourself to judge the condition. The paint is in good shape, with some time, a clar bar, compound, and wax - this car will really shine. The alloy wheels are also in good shape, with minor curb rash, but also would clean up nice with some degrease solution. The check-engine and service light is on, but go off once you drive the car for a while. I will try and get the codes checked for the buyer, but the car drives perfectly fine and gets good gas mileage.
I originally purchased this car from a close family friend with the full intention of keeping it as my daily driver. But for some reason, it costs almost thrice as much a year to insure than my BMW M3, therefore I am regretfully putting it for sale.
