I just bought a new 2017 platinum model at a dealer about an hour away due to the deal I got.
Shame on me for not looking at the time, but the night I brought it home I noticed condensation on the inside of the passenger side headlight. This is the only light with any condensation. I've had the car a week and it's always there.
I called the local Nissan dealer and they told me it's considered "exterior trim" so may not be covered by warranty. He said I'd have to bring it in, they'd have to take pictures of it and send it to Nissan.
Does this sound right? If this is true, it's total BS.
I took my 2016 in for this about 2 months ago. It was covered under the bumper to bumper warranty, dealer ordered the part. The service advisor said he had to ask the technician, but he agreed and quickly got it squared away. They did have to order the part. Out of pocket it would have cost me around $450 to replace, probably an additional $100 for labor. Wondering whether to get the extended warranty now. In case the other one does it too. On the flip side we've had so much rain this year any leak likely would have happened already.
