Anybody have the AVS bug/hood deflector?

Does anyone have the AVS Aeroskin hood deflector? i just purchased it online for $45.... So it's kind of a late question... But I've only seen 2 pics of Maximas with this bug deflector, and here they are... But if anyone on here has this product, can you please post pics? Preferably on a grey Max also... Thanks!

I know that's how it looks but if you look closely at the grille, It's all wet because it was raining. I guess that brought out the transparency of the bug deflector even more and you can see the silver paint and raindrops through it. It's the same product though

So that deflector is for looks only huh, 'cause it's only going to protect about 6" of your hood?

it's for protecting the part of the nose of the car right in front of the hood. My Maxima only has 10k miles and I already have rock chips there. I like the look of the car more without the bug deflector, but I'm thinking about the paint

In my opinion, a better option. The invisible bra:

I thought about what you said and I just called a shop to get a quote... They quoted me $350 to put clear bra on that same portion of bumper that this bug shield covers.... Sheesh. Gonna stick with the bug shield

I guess it's a good thing I didn't ask people for their opinions on how it looks 😉

When you posted it in a public forum you pretty much did.

consider it the bonus plan.

Well, I received the Aeroskin yesterday, and I installed it... I must say, I like it a lot more than I thought I would! If one didn't know any better, they could think that this is part of the grille design.

I love that look on a lighter color body, and I'm an ol' timer. For looks it is great. For protection, well that's like going into a gun fight with Kevlar wrapped around only one ankle. :-) If you really want to protect the whole front end of your car, including headlights, go with clear bra. I have that on all my cars, after running bug/stone deflectors (can you say bras) for many years.
