i had about 80k on the tranny when i turbocharged it. Another reason besides the tranny being weaker is that the auto tranny is BIGGER so makes piping a bit harder.

4-5psi? on what size turbo??

Before doing a turbo setup with a high psi, you might as well do a conversion just to save you from the headache of having to replace a dead auto tranny.

Joo dont have to spend 3 grand on a level 10 trans. you can just buythis upgrade kit which replaces the bands etc then get a vb upgrade and be set for prob around 1500 or so.

hmmm i might have to think about that upgrade kit, for 730 that aint bad plus about 400 for the tranny cooler and vb. MIght be a good idea to do that. also i plan on running the t3/to4e turbo setup, i think that for daily driving mid 200 hp to the wheels should be fine on the tranny for a while. but only time will tell. plus i only have 43000 on the tranny right now.

if i were gonna get forced induction i would def go w/ the upgrade and vb trann cooler. It is stated on the level 10 site it will 600 hp...which is prob bs, but if it holds half of that it should do well enough for anyone. who would you get to install it tho?

HP is one thing, torque is another. Looking at torque curves comparisons, turbo has more torque in general. Low boost might be OK but you'll find it hard to resist turning it up! I stayed at 4 psi for 1 month only cos my exhaust prevented me from going any higher.

I know it will be tempting man but i have to hold myself back until i can get the tranny worked on, cause if i don't then i might not have a car to drive for a while. But i think the tranny should hold up for a while at low boost even with the extra toque, hopefully.
