Who was the person complaining that their car was stalling after installing your BOV?

Just kidding. It was me, but TheNewClimax and Maxboost00 also had this problem. Other cars have this problem too, goofy MAFs.

Just make sure the BOV isn't releasing air except right after you boost and let off the throttle. I tightened down the adjustment screw and that stopped the BOV from releasing air.

Mardigrasmax said its good to let it vent a little bit of air at idle, it'll shut when you boost and it'll reopen when you let off the throttle. I set mine to the loosest setting without letting my car stall and I believe its much better for the blower in the long run. Too tight of a setting will make it hard to vent all the air.

I do not recommend this on a 5th gen.

Oh, sorry bout that. I guess I'll just speak for the 4th gens. Is there a reason to not do tis on the 5th gen.?

The placement of the stupid MAF on the 5th gens will cause the car to stall if the BOV is leaking air.

You lucky 4th gen people don't have to worry about it .

I've considered cutting the charge pipe (pipe between SC and throttle body) and integrating the MAF in that pipe, just like on the 4th gens. You'd either have to round off the MAF pipe or weld on square ends on the two sides of the charge pipe. The shop I asked said it would be a lot of work.

4th gen SC setup
- might leak from MAF
- gets higher air flow percentage reading when using AFC (nice tidbit)

5th gen SC setup
- might stall (use AFC to fix... deceleration adjustment)
- will not leak because it is one continuous pipe (will leak if you don't tighten all the clamps though)

My car has been decelerating strangely since I got the BOV. It will drop from 2000 rpms to 1000 rpms in like .5 seconds once I let off the gas. It's not a smooth deceleration, it just immediately drops rpms. It sounds like you're saying the AFC will help with this?

Btw, my car isn't stalling anymore, just the quick deceleration problem.

That is weird..
No stalling for me. But the idle is kinda rough. Also.. Too much back pressure.. What size y-pipe/exhaust is everyone using??

If you correctly screw down the adjustment screw on the BOV, you won't stall. Rough idle sucks tho eh. Maybe an AFC will help? Unfortunately that's $300 plus tuning charges, unless you know how to set the AFC yourself.

How can you tell there's too much back pressure? I have stock exhaust, and the car feels ok.
