5th gen exhaust w/ boost?

I am wondering if a 5th gen exhaust would restrict the flow terribly bad on my turbo setup? any guess? I am thinking of trying one, just to get a almost perfectly stock sound (although i know this is impossible, especially when trying to keep HP in mind)...

thanks for any help

The 2k2+ is 2.5". I think you will loose power if you drop down. Jime had a 2k 2.25" muffler inled reamed out to 2.5", I have a 2.25" 2k muffler with a full 2.5" system and put up prettu good numbers. I just got my full Warpspeed 3" system and should have it on and dynoed in a few weeks to see how much of a power gain their is. I'm sure it will be louder even though i had Dallas put a extra long resonator on it

Well correct me if im wrong, but any type of normal muffler will cause backpressure than a straight through design muffler. I dont know how much backpressure it will cause and what the HP drop will be to have a stock sounding setup.

Matt I remember when you did your baseline at SRT one month ago or so and thought to myself without that muffler on the top end might have put your over 350. I might be wrong since Im a noob to these things. I just think how a NA car with a straight 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust with a Ypipe gives good gains because of its straight through design and very little back pressure.

Yes, I should pick up 20hp/tq with this full 3" system, I hope so... That 3 dyno session was a base line for this upgrade. When I go back in a few weeks or so I will be spending alot more time fine tuning and adding some juice too

Sure straight through flow better, but they are also much louder though, fart car The 2k+ mufflers are sorta the best of both worlds, when the second flap opens its a much better flowing muffler, at cruising speeds is quiet.
