Might want to search on the FMU, I cant be sure since Im a 5th gen and I know it shouldnt matter but I think you might want a 8:1 FMU disc. You definetely want one step colder plugs.

Any reason why you are going with a 3.33" pulley? Only reason I ask is because a few people who have gone with it seem to think they got nothing from it and recommeded going to 3.25 or 3.125" But its upto you.

As far as your tranny and doing the work after it falls apart, to ensure it dont fall apart in 2weeks, get at least the Valve Body upgrade performed and at least a tranny cooler.

On your Private messages, is your box full? if so delete all the messages in your inbox and SENT folder and you will be alright.

That will help on your grinding issue.

You wont have an issue with running rich or lean on the 8:1 FMU disc with the 3.125". You might want to get an S-AFC to further dyno tune it get the best a/f ratio and the most HP possible.

PJ,

Go with the 3.25 and keep the 6:1 disk...if you go lower than 3.25 you will need the 8:1

What size FMU disk did the old V2s come with? I've heard different answers, but I thought it was 12:1.

How much for the 8:1 disk? I suppose this will work ok with the 3.125 pulley?

Pulley is like $60 at vortech and the disc alone at vortech $30. If you get the disc for $10 you are set.

Is this the complete recalibration kit, or just the disk? Do you need the complete kit or can you use just the disk with existing FMU parts?

Im gonna say it is going to be just the disc. The washer looking deal. The whole kit usually has the FMU gasket and the ring that holds up the 8:1 disc. if you have a 6:1, then the ring that holds up the 6:1 will also hold up the 8:1. Just need to make sure the gasket is still good and not brittle and falling apart after you open it up.

Funny thing is the single recalibration kits are $30, and the full one is $45. And its like why not to get the full one cause it includes 5 other discs.

Does the stock FMU come with 6:1 disk? Because if it does, then I can use the ring. Otherwise it'd be better to get the kit direct from Vortech.

Heres the thhing, the stock one comes with a 6:1 or a 8:1. I somehow got a 8:1 and few others got an 8:1. You should be fine.

I always heard the stock came with a 12:1 disk. I guess this means I can buy the disk alone and use the stuff from the original FMU, except maybe the gasket. Hmmm... maybe better to buy the kit direct from Vortech.

Na, stock should be either 6:1 or 8:1.
