I know many will point immediately to the SAFC, but what about others such as fields afc or I even believe you can run bigger injectors with mechanical regulators (maybe cartech is adjustable enough to tune/compensate?).

Since you have the VI on your 95, why not get a JWT ECU and have them raise redline to 7000 while controlling the larger injectors?

I strongly disagree, from what I have seen the JWT ECU's for boosted VQ's are very week on torque. This is due to their conservative approack to ignition timing. Understandably they do this to prevent detonation, but they retard timing to far and you will loose torque. Look at Brett's dynos as an example. ) With all the knowledge you have it would be better to walk the line your self. JWT ECU's are designed IMHO for people who dont want to do any tuning themselves, but real tuners will allways make more power because every car and set up is different.I can say that with out a doubt that between two Max's simiarlly equiped for boost with one running an FMU, AFC and a J&S Safeguard and the other a JWT ECU, that the FMU, AFC and J&S car will win. The JWT ECU is usually more of a plug and play item where as the FMU, AFC and J&S requires self tuning on a dyno, but in the end its all about who wins!

Hal can always ask JWT to just raise rev limiter and control the larger injectors without having them mess with timing. I'm not sure if Hal's interested in raising the rev limiter or retarding the timing since he didn't mention it in his first post.
I agree that the JWT sucks when it comes down to timing... seen this personally.
But Hal can take advantage of the VI's potential by raising the rev limiter. Imagine full boost from the turbo all the way up to 7 grand.

True, 7k would be nice for highway racing and HP.
I have taken the approach that low and mid TQ is the way to go.
When are you going to get it together and show us some track times or dyno numbers Kev, I cant wait to see a spread of turbo dynos and times when spring rolls around.

I should be getting the ball bearing T60 with aluminized steel exhuast piping today. Once the package arrives, I'm good to go on the installation. Dyno will come shortly (within a month of completion). I still owe you the last SC dyno plot... I haven't forgotten about that.

Looking for someone to do a 3" cat-back to complete the exhaust.
