Who has a walbro fuel pump on a 5thgen?

I just spent an hour trying to take apart the stupid white plastic assembly.. Lack of tools and the cold weather didn't help much.
Anyhow, if anyone has changed their own fuel pump on a 5thgen, how did you take off the top shell piece to gain access to the pump??

This is for the 4th gen, which is practically the same as on the 5th gen:

Any write-ups or tips you guys can give would help when I do this install in a few weeks.

It's not the same.. 5thgen's have a whole compartment that hold's the fuelpump, filter etc.. If you can disassemble the compartment, you gain access.. It'll probably simpler if the weather wasn't so cold..
Anyhow, I'm gonna try and attempt it sometime this week again. I'll post a write up.

Albert...

It will be noticeably louder than your stock FP, did you take out your inline pump too? If not then you will have to.

Base FP should jump 5 PSI or so.

I didn't take out the inline..
It's weird though.. The walbro doesn't always seem to be working.. Sometimes I get stock FP and sometimes I get the upgraded FP..
It seems like only the inline is working when the FP is at stock PSI but not always..

I am lost yet again..

It's not the fuel pump that control the FP... It's the FPR and the FMU. Remember FPR increase FP as vacuum levels drop and the FMU increases FP as boost increases...
