quick question 'bout fuel pump...

For some reason, The search isn't working for me. So, I'm sorry if I have to ask this question cuz I know I have read it before....What is the part number for the walbro 255l/h high press. fuel pump that you guys are using for your 2000+ SC max's? gss-342? gss-341? IS the whole fuel pump kit needed to install it in our max's? IF so, from what car cuz I can't find no 2000+ max walbro fuel pump kits. Let me know. Thanx!

It's the GSS342 for the 4th Gen (which won't need the kit that's actually made for the DSM)... I heard it is DIFFERENT for the 5th Gen.

so,the kit is not needed for the install? U just replace all the OEM parts with the walbro pump? Also, With the walbro pump installed, is the votech FPR and Aux. pump still needed? Or can u just use the walbro pump without the FPR and aux pump? let me know, thanx.

I just reused the stock parts (except large gas tank O-ring specified on my install page)... KEEP IN MIND MY CAR IS A 4th GEN...

I ONLY took out the INLINE PUMP (keeping FMU) because the 255lph/HiPressure Walbro is enough. I don't miss the noisy inline at all.

You need to keep the boost-referenced FPR. That is what provides the extra fuel when boosting. If you don't use it, you will be very lean at WOT.

What is needed for a 5TH GEN install? Same pump? GSS342? Do we use the same DSM pump kit? I am sort of unclear of what we need to use to install the walbro pump. LEt me know, Thanx.

I have a kit that I may install tonight or tomorrow night on my car. All I am replacing is the pump and the rubber o ring which I got from the dealer.
