Installed CAI last night

Seems to have really made a difference. I'm pretty wary of butt-dyno results, but the car did feel more responsive and a bit more powerful. It definitely sounds different, with a much more pronounced whooshing sound from all that air being sucked in. I miss that beautiful waaaaaah sound that the PRCAI on a NA engine makes, though.

As soon as I get the S-AFC I'm heading to the dyno for some tuning.

Good deal, I know what you mean about the sucking noise, my air filter for the turbo sits in the same place as my PRcai did and when I go WOT, I hear major air suction happening.

yes with the CAI on the SC you will hear that thing whining noise. I like it sounds nice. You should also see an increase in boost.

I definitely like it. That initial whine and then the powerful whoosh as you build up in rpm is awesome. I wish I could hear it from the outside, but no one else in my family can operate a clutch.

I just heard my car while letting my friend drive, and me standing on the sidewalk. Sc'd maximas sound really amazing. That whine of the V1 was soooo sexy Too bad I never had the pancake so I'm not sure what to compare it to

Man - the V1 whine annoys me. I'm SO sick of people saying "Hey man, your fan belt is loose!"

Yes, no way around that, as far as I could tell. Maybe it can be relocated under the battery tray where there is a lot of empty space now that the auto tranny is gone.

By the way, I have the other half of the 3.5" u-bend pipe I bought from Stahl. If anyone wants it, make me an offer.

I dunno - Loren sold it to me...a fairly small K&N filter, it looks like....

Let me see if I can find some pics for you....

I did have to move the coolant bottle, of course....but not the windshield washer bottle....

I thought about using a Sentra washer fluid for our maxima.
