Car is not running...HELP!

OK I found out that my car was throwing a code for the MAFS. I replace it and the SES light goes out. But now it won't idle at all. I know that my Fuel Preasur is at 20 psi with ignition on or at idle. Fuel pump is fine because if you pinch off the line the fuel preasure goes up to almost 100 psi. I replaced the fuel preasure regulator to see if that was the problem. But the problem continues. I think my vacuum hose are OK but not for sure.
Kevin sent me pics of his vacuum hoses but I don't have cali spec...so I have less hoses.

My car is a 2000 maxima, auto with a V2 SC, CAI and 3.125 pulley.
I was driving my car 3-4 week ago and it started loosing power and sputtering. Plugs got all gunked up (black) almost like it was running rich. It lets out black suet out of the muffler.
Sorry for being so long, but i really need help.

My friend Thomas thinks it might be my ECU.

You have a mojor leak somewhere in the piping after the MAF.

Check all the joints in the piping after the MAF.

The MAF doesn't think it's getting any air, because no (or less than normal) air is flowing through it as the Revs increase. The air is being sucked in through somewhere else instead.

This causes the car to run super rich...SPuttering, Black smoke, fuel smell, fouled plugs.

Try the hole where your ambient air sensor should be in the piping after the MAF, check your TB Gasket, then look for more vacuum leaks.

Dude I hade similar problems in the past, before making assumptions on ecu and spending money on mechanics and parts. Listen carefully!! CHECK ALL VACUUM LINES!!! I had like two or three that were twisted around and it had my car in a mess. Multiple mechanics in this area told me different things, vacuum checks came back good, but it wasn't until I was able to take it to my good friends speed shop out of town and leave it for a while that he figured out the problem. Also have you messed with your valve cover or intake heads? Check all gaskets carefully! Good Luck, I hate when stuff like that happens to me.

Hey guys, I think that I may have the very same problem that LAtinMax had, except that my car's idle was really bad. I mean really bad! The car doesn't want to stay on. It feels like there is a bunch of fuel going in but no air to compensate it, and only black smoke comes out of the exhaust. I really thought that it was somethin with my fuel and/or air but then I talked to a friend and he said that it might be my headgasket. Do u guys think that it could be the HG? I checked the plugs as well and they look similar to how Latinmax was describing them. Could it be my MAF? It just happened all of a sudden, immediately after racing an LS1 camaro. Right after I raced him to the top of 3rd gear, I put it in neutral and the car just turned off on me. So, I put it into gear again and pull the clutch out to jump start it and it feels funny like if there is no power. The whole car is shakin and it just doesn't want to move (big time hesitation ). I barely get it to my garage and I look at the exhaust , and all I see is black smoke. The exhaust is puttering pretty bad also. What do u guys think it is? MAF? HG? vacuum leaks?? If u guys can help a bro out , it'll be greatly appreciated. THanx a lot guys.

Me n sx7r went to go fool around the other day, and at peak boost on one of the runs, the car acted funny, and stalled while driving, then at idle, my vacuum was all f'd up, the car was shaking, it was bad.... turns out the intake plenum gasket, the one that goes from the runners to the manifold, had loosened, allowing a crazy vacuum leak.... It was running rich as hell because of this...

Maybe that helps maxboost.. i know it's useless info for gabe, since his vacuum's at 20+ in HG.

Well, if it smells like fuel alot, then your fuel is getting delivered fine probably too.

It's Air....check piping and hoses and gaskets.

Guess what guys? I went to check all of my vacuum lines and everything seemed to look ok but then I move my eyes toward the supercharger and I look at the intake piping and it looked kinda different. I say different cuz it was pushed all the way to the radiator and it was never like that before. So, I check even further in detail and I see the intake pipe out of the hose connection. It was half way on, so, there was a huge , huge leak. When I saw that, I was relieved cuz I really thought that it was my head gasket. Whew! I was really scared. So then, I put everything back on and turn on the car and it runs like nothing has happened. I guess when I raced that LS1, it must have popped out from all of my wheel hoppin'. I had 19's on so u can imagine the wheel hop and torque steer. IT's pretty bad. I wouldn't reccommend racing with 19's, it's kinda dangerous. But anyways, thanx a lot guys for looking out.

ps. i killed that LS1 with like 2 car lengths going up to my top 3rd.

yeah that's happened to me before, not because of wheel hop, but because the hose clamps weren't tight enough, so the pressure forced the silicone connectors off the piping.

What the ****? I can't believe u blew your motor?! I'm telling you, I really think that your Aux. pump was never working to begin with. U should check on that cuz, for me, the pump was installed correctly but for some reason, it was off. Hopefully, your car will be covered by warranty. Good luck.

I sent you an email with your password. The one you gave me was incorrect.

Road trip to Dallas? Hmmmmmm...... I don't want to invade sx7r's territory.

Converting the car back to stock and taking it to the dealer is the best way to go... unless you're interested in building the motor up. Good luck!

If the stock thing doesn't work then thst will have to be the next option.

The password does not work still. I even had another e-mailed to me. No luck it won't let me in.
I don't want to be 2 anymore...the original is much better.

Unfortunately, I can't edit profiles on this current server. If you can hang in there until the new servers are online, I might be able to fix you up.

That's normal!

You're going open-loop and the ECU is dumping in mucho fuel. You can tune the AFC to gain more power and it will help reduce the excess fuel.
