My Car Freaking Stalled This Morning!!

im an auto first off, and let me remind u the problems with my slippin tranny on 3rd. - V2 boosted 3.25 pulley
driving a friend home this morning i smelled this gas/burning smell... i was like whateva... next thing i know the OD light was blinking and the car stalled... all the lights came on and sh(t juss died on me.
i poped open the hood and thought the belt tore or juss went to belt heaven. nothing..everything was fine.
got back in ..started the car up and it was fine no problems.
any thoughts upon this .

till now everything was fine. i dunno what the hell happened.

yup... definately you're tranny... mine does that too RPM's drop so low like it's bout to stall.... and it BARELY makes it back up to normal idle when coming to a stop.... mine has gotten to the point where if im in drive at a stop, i can hear crap grinding... i believ eit's the torque convertor

Mine did the same thing only i'm on the bottle and it turned out that my motor/tranny mounts were all bad. It would slip into gear i'm thinking not again (i went thru 3 trannys in less than a year, all under warranty mind you) i went to my mechanic cause i'm not allowed to touch the tranny for warranty purposes and it turned out the tranny and motor were turning at ounce when they shouldnt have been, thus slipping into gear till it caught on the bad part of the mounts. Im going thru the same exact problem as u......PCGuru(danny) had the same problem and he said he got his throttle body clean out and he's was fine after that......right now thas how my car is, when I'm driving it's fine but when i leave my gear to Park thas when my rpm jus drops completely and stalls out.....so, I also thought that it was the BOV so I did mess with the adjustment screws but I dunno know how that thing exactly work.....so, I'm takin back to MaxximumTunning......I know wut u mean I feel the same way.....it's stressin me out big time......

blinking OD means there's a problem(s) in the tranny electronic. When you turn your key to on position (without start the motor), does the OD light go away? (it should go away)

another thing you can try is running a diagnostic. The procedure is listed in FSM or Hayne's service manual. It will tell you what part of tranny is having problems. It doesnt require OBD II
