Quick question?

Is it possible to run a turbo Maxima with a quiet exhaust? What I mean is, if I run 3" plumbing with cats and stock muffler will I lose alot of hp?

Thanks

stock muffler has 2.25 piping.

I was considering this set-up and trying to use greddy bpipe with stock muffler. but I guess it wont match because the diameter on the muffler is smaller.

hp wise, you wont lose too much on the muffler. the bends on the stock bpipe is restricting the exhaust flow. To make it quieter....make sure you put a resonator on the bpipe.

btw, you got a new maxima.....so which one you plan to boost

With the horror stories going around of turbo problems, I am thinking SC. Any quality turbo kits out yet?

like Danny said..... up to date available turbo kits are still not very stable. I know the people who bought either one of the kits have been thru a lot of troubles.

even the SC kit requires some work to get to the right place. i.e. belt alignment.

so you got your tranny repaired by dealer?
