Turbo being installed

I know I don't post much, but, my wait is over. PFI kit is here, and the car is in the shop. First we are going to run the car at stock boost, and then install bigger injectors, Emanage then tune to about ten pounds of boost.

Turbo being installed

It should take about one week.(if everything works on the first try.)
The car mainly for the street, untill I get it working right.

I get at least 20mpg on city driving and 26mpg when going on long trips even with the turbo installed.

t4/80-1?!?!? You're not actually serious are you? By the time you hit boost you'll be at redline already? That turbo is waaay to big. You'll definately need NOS to pick up the slack!

Deac

Considering it's N20(not NO2)...I doubt he's serious. Plus, he'll need NX not NAAAAAAAWZ(NOS) for the torque.

Kev's turbo will support 500whp, so I don't see ANY need to go bigger HOWEVER....I'd love to see the dyno on this.

turbo Installed

Please excuse me for being stupid, the turbo is a T4OE got wrong info from a friend. I called PFI and got right info. Kit should have been installed by now but, shop sold my gauges. I did not have to loose my fog lights, and will have to wrap the down pipe.

The kit cost $4,700 plus the bigger injectors, emage, gauges, install and tune, and stuff I cannot remember. I am at about $7,000 and going. the price you pay for speed.

Any other mods? Catback, diff, clutch, hp fuel pump, FPR to compensate for bigger injectors, FMU 8:1 disk, etc.?

umm.... for 7k, i could build you a turbo kit and wash your car everyday for a year straight. your car better never have any problems for that chunk of change. is everything being chromed and platinum trimmed or something??

Hey I'm interested in T/C my max. How much do you think you could do one for? What parts would you use(any intercooler)?

Were you the one who opted for 2" piping for quicker spool? Whoever went for that is gonna choke real bad!

that's very good fuel economy for you dixit. mine's like 18-19 city/highway mix and 22 for long trip. Did you get your car tuned?

mine's still running at that crappy >10:1 AFR.

My car is no where near fixed. Still got issues. I cant tune it since at 5psi its running too rich with the walbro since its always on and does turn on at boost like the Stillen aux pump. Im just going to raise the boost to 10psi. Before I do that I need to redo some piping to clear issues with the MAF sensor and other issues. Also working on gathering parts for a 5spd conversion. Auto is fine, no slipping, just want 5spd now. Also getting new wheels since I cracked another 19, making it 4 of them.

ic...one more question. how does the car feel when you run it too rich? Say when you floor it at 4th and then down to 3rd...do you feel that the power is just not there?

If im 4th gear and I boost on the highway say to 4th gear and keep it from downshifting to 3rd, it hauls. If I get it down to 3rd and go WOT it still hauls.

Now if Im in 3rd or 2nd and partial throttle and keeping it from downshifting (IE like when Im going from 25-45mph) and Im boosting near 5psi it just feels like no power, I mean I hear the turbo spooled up and the wastegate dumping, but I dont feel the car moving much faster like when im on the highway and boosting.

Its always around 65-70psi of Fuel Pressure at those times, and that just seems way to rich for 5psi.
