exhaust problem when boosting?

ok i have a exhaust problem i think, when i start to boost my exhaust grow loud and nasty i never heard this before and it just started to happen what could it be? the exhaust sounds normal until about 4000rpms i talked to a guy at a muffler shop and he said that if it was a leak i would hear it all the time, so mabe its a clog in the exhaust or something but its like 4 weeks old and i don't have a cat to clog up anyone has any ideas please help?

if it is a clog in the exhaust, you will see high EGT at cruising and non-boosted acceleration on freeway. mine was clogged and the EGT was pretty high. it went lower when the car is boosted.

Mine's the same way.

Started happening after I put my straight pipe on.

My EGT's are still the same, however.

I have heard from others that the straight pipe didn't change the tone of their exhaust much.
