Recommendation on FPR?

I'm in the market for a FPR. Currently running a NOS dry kit. Posting here in the SC forum because more people here seem to have a FPR then the nitrous boys.

It seems like most people here are running the SARD FPR. But I've also heard that sx7r can't get them anymore. I checked out his website and he has the AEM FPR for $165.

Is there anything wrong with the AEM FPR? What other FPRs do you guys recommend? (Where to buy and how much?)

Thanks!!!

TJ

I thought you have the Cartech FMU....is their FMU also an FPR just like the vortech S-FMU? or they have a separate FPR?

Cartech is not an FPR, just an FMU. It cant adjust the base idle fuel pressure.

The ones that do yes..... probably a good 80% of us still run the OEM one.

Search for CragMacks' post on the AEM FPR.

He had some problems, however I think he eventually got it to work.

Yeah I saw his posts. I think they were mainly installation problems. But I will read up on that more closely.

I didn't know most of you guys here do not run a FPR. Do you guys run rich when on boost then? Or does the FMU take care of that?

I've had the SARD and the AEM fpr. Both work great. Currently running the aem fpr.

The one thing I like about the AEM fpr is that it has a 2nd fuel inlet port if you want to do something like run a wet nitrous kit. It's convenient.

However, if it's a wet kit, unless you're running a HP Walbro also for boost, you don't need an adjustable fpr, right?

Wet kits shouldn't need a HP fuel pump, so no need for an adjustable FPR.

Yeah, you don't need an adjustable fpr if you're using the stock fuel pump w/ a wet kit.
