exhaust question?

will my car run if i take off the y pipe? will there be a hp lost by doing so? i'am trying to find a exhaust problem and would like to know if this is possible being i'am supercharged

Sure, it will run. The noise will be ear-splitting. You will have a very noticeable drop in low rpm power since you have no extraction from exhaust flow in the pipes, but high rpm power should be better. If it is an exhaust blockage problem you are trying to determine, doing this might help. Make sure you're far away from any police when you've got the tach needle heading north.

Edit: Wait a minute, I forgot about the O2 sensors. I don't know if it is possible to run with both of them out of the loop.

where are you going to put your o2 sensors?

you can take off the muffler~
