Injector questions

I am contemplating whether to stay with the FMU included in the kit I purchased or going with different injectors and getting my JWT reprogrammed. The engine in my car has more than 150k miles on it but runs like a champ at this time. So here are my questions:

1) Is there a way to test the injectors that are currently in my engine to see if they are up to the task of 300+fwhp.

2) If not, does anyone have some stock 4th gen injectors that they no longer need/want and would be willing to sell.

3) How much would I expect to pay for a set of 300zx injectors and would these be a direct replacement (with ECU reprogram of course) or are there modifications that need to be done to the fuel rail and or wiring harnesses.

you can get injectors tested at RC Engineering. It all comes down to how much PSI you plan on pushing? If your car is running like a champ, you should be fine on those injectors pushing to about 9-10psi boost.

The 300zx TT injectors are a direct replacement. You can make them work without ECU reprogram if you lower the base pressure down to about 20psi.

Thanks for the reply. How much might one expect to pay for 300ZX injectors?

Brand new I believe they are around $75-110 each and you need 1995-1996 300zx TT injectors.

What If I cant adjust base fuel pressure but I have the e-manage to adjust the injector flow? Asking because I have the Cartech FMU where you cant adjust base fuel pressure!

eManage is just a fancy S-AFC which tricks/modifies MAF voltage to the ECU, right?

If so, it can't tune out fuel during startup, warmup, and closed-loop, so the added pulse width will cause problems.

The AFCs are good for adding/subtracting fuel at WOT or during open-loop when the 02s aren't used for target A/F ratio.

eManage has a harness for injectors that can be purchased seperately. Using this allows you to control injectors 150% of the 'norm'. 370cc is in this spec, so essentially you SHOULD be able to just plug in an eManage, type the cc of your old injectors (that's what? 240cc?) and then type in the new ones, and it should correct the rest.

*should* .. I haven't done it yet but apparently it *should* work hehe.

Any documentation available on the eManage injector harness?

Stock injectors are 295cc@3bar.
