I was wondering which setup would yield the best gas mileage? A turbo kit (Hal's, Custom Maxima, etc etc) or a Stillen Supercharger (V1, V2) ? From the people who have them (auto and manual) what are your highway and local mpg's? Just wondering ... so this might help me lean towards which one i would eventually get ... Thanks.

 

This is going to be an interesting thread since everyone loves to put in their own 2cents on which one is better.

Im just going to say that on the hwy on my turbo kit I get about 26-27mpg crusing around 80-85mph and boosting occasionally here and there.

All of them are going to be really close I'd think. Driving habits would have a lot more to do with it. FWIW, back with my V2 SC, I got 26-27 on the highway just like Dixit. Mostly cruising, some boost. But other times in city/stop and go driving, I got as low as 13. If I boosted a lot, I would be like 180 miles on a tank.

I'm willing to bet that all of those setups would be within very close ranges of each other given the same driving conditions. Just because they all put out similar amounts of power (though all can be tuned for more) and all of them run similar fuel setups. Pump, FMU.

 

I got about 22-23 on my V2 setup.
