Where do I tap my Boost line

I thought I put my boost gauge line in the five way T. When I put it in one of the ends, the gauge reads towards the vaccum side at 20 not the boost side. Is this correct if not where do I tap it in? I am confused. please help

Does it read 20 in Hg vacuum at idle? If so, that is normal. Your assignment is to think about it and post the reason why.

Yes it does read 20. I am retarded, sir. Please tell me why cuz I am a rooky and don't know **** about boost...I just install stuff. That 's why i have your great knowledge to answer stupid Q?s from.

Again ...that is the right place to put it right? shouldn't it read 0? ( yeah yeah, If u were in front of me u slap me,)
Answer: It is a vaccum therefore it sux...is that a good enough answer.
thanx for not ing me

The boost gauge is going to read vacuum in the intake manifold at idle. That is when vacuum is highest because the throttle is closed. It will move over to the boost range when you are at wide open throttle (WOT) and making boost. During partial throttle acceleration the manifold vacuum will decrease toward zero, depending on how much the throttle is open. It sounds like you have it hooked up right.

The most important gauges are EGT and fuel pressure. A boost pressure gauge is fun to have, but it's more important to monitor EGT and fuel pressure during boosted runs to make sure you're not running lean. Put the gauges in a location where you can easily see them, like in an A-pillar pod. When you get your system up and running, do short boosted runs to make sure the fuel pressure is rising to what you expect, and to make sure the EGT isn't getting to high, indicating leanness. If things look okay, then gradually extend your runs to redline. Keep track of your EGT whenever you do a boosted run to get a feel for what is normal for your engine and setup. If you see your EGT drop suddenly during boost, back off immediately because that is a sign of detonation. It's best to take your car right to the dyno as soon as you install your system to make sure your afr is good and rich.
