For all those who have EGT & BOOST!

Just wondering where guys put it (backwards y-pipe, downpipe??), what ranges you guys run (F or C), and what figures (about 850C?) you stay away from.

Technically you should have it as close as you can to the exhaust manifold.

Then dyno tune the car and find out what EGT is where you always want to be. This is the safest method.

720-750C peak should be fine... maybe even a little rich.

Where do you have yours placed??

I want to put mine in the manifold or right after, but i have heard that the probes might break off and mess up my turbo. I;ve only read it about people who have heard about it. I dont believe it too much, cause they should be built for that kind of heat (1600 max), but i could see it happening over time, or if it were faulty.

It's a trade off... accurate EGT or turbo safety... Probes don't snap off often.
