I was wondering if anyone knew..... if i bought the HKS recirculation kit for the SSQ BOV would it take the noise effect away?... cause without it - it stumbles and stalls out from time to time, however the blow off noise is loud as hell.... will i loose all my "PSSSHHHHHHHHH!" noise if i install this thing or what????

i don't know... can i? you mean the super air/fuel controller by HKS? who makes it and how much... if it fixes it i want one!

 

the safc 2 is made by apexi. Yes phil it corrects the air pressure lost by the blow off vale. if you want i am selling mine for 300 bux. i only used it for a week and dont need it anymore

 

300 bucks huh? i might have to take you up on that offer... is it easy to install? and what all is involved with this thing... you just install it and it works? or what? do i have to take it to a shop and get it tuned? or is it something i can do myself? do you have all the installation parts too? thanks for the help!

 

the install is on www.fastmaxima.com and yeah you need to get tuned on a dyno and dont bother hooking up the knock alarm function it doesnt work on 4th and 5th gens. this piggy back computer messes with your injector duty cycle to fine tune you fuel.

no i wasn't, but i've seen that ride!!!!! i haven't raced anything in a WHILE!!! everytime there is a good possible race, there is always someone in the passenger seat that (well let's just say it would be inappropriate if i raced with them in the car) so, nothing since i raced a supra twin turbo (stock) from a 5 mile an hour roll.... which i had by two cars up until about 90 when his boost REALLY started kicking in but still a half a car behind then we had to slow down. this was like two months ago. and he was my friend...he claimed to have spun out in 2nd.... either way it was fun....lol

so back to the issue at hand... where and how much is it to get this thing installed and tuned?

 

install it yourself keep it at the zero settings and the a/f tunning should be about $100

 

or 150 ish
