Engine Internals?

I need some advice on recommended pistons and rods... And also recommended compression... Which one would be suited for about 20-30psi?? 8:1, 8.5:1, or 9:1?? I'm looking at the JE pistons, but I'm not sure on Rods.. Also the ring sets... How much are these and do the come with the piston set?

Also, is there gaskets for turbo applications for 4gen maximas?? Where would I get these?..

Finally, are there any recommendations on head bolts. Does APR make studs for our Maximas?

Thanks.

30 psi?? got traction? IMO go low...8.2 leaves plenty room for error, which will most likely be a greater factor when tuning for 20+ psi

hey what are you trying to do.. make me strap on a rocket to keep up with you .. 8:1 should be good enough, because you probably wont make 30PSI anytime soon. wow the thought is scary though...i hope you will have some extra diapers around for your passengers...

Yeah 30psi is way to high. But I'm never planning to run that... Just want the internals to be rated for high boost. For both saftey and re-assurance.

Anything over 20psi, you are probally going to have to run some kind of race gas, or aqua mist setup. I think 9:1 compression is the lowest I would go. I think good tuning is the key hear. You probally have to spend 2000 on a stand a lone and soem good tuning. Pistons and rods will have to be custom, those should come with rings. Someone got some copper gaskets for there car, they were custom though and yes they make ARP head studs for our car.

Yeah 9.1 compression seems decent. I'll do my homework on this... Thanks for the info...
