Bypassing the supercharger for a while?
I tore up another belt last night, so I threw the stock belt on there, bypassing the supercharger. I'm think I'll just drive the car for about a month or so like this because and put on a new belt (and fix the shredding) in the spring.
Any reason not to leave the blower on and let the engine suck air through it? I know it will kill performance, but I don't really care.
Should I cap off the oil feed, or is it not going to do any damage to let the oil run through it for a while.
I've run like this for a week or so in the past, but I don't know when I'll have time to replace the belt. Could be a couple of weeks at the earliest.

no problem here....I did it for 2 weeks and drive around daily for ~60miles before I finally have time to remove the SC kit.

i have had the SC bypassed since x-mas eve. the plastic tensioner pulley widled away on me, and have been waiting 6 weeks for the metal one from ASP. i left the oil feed and oil return intact. just put the stock belt on...everything is running perfectly fine. i was also worried about the fuel situation since i am running 370s and the JWT SC ECU...but its money and has no ill effects.
i have been keeping an eye on the oil level every week and it all checks out.
