I have not seen many belt issues with the V1.

Thats a pretty decent deal... almost like mine... 30k on the blower... maybe you should have it overhauled anyway, just for peace of mind?

the v1 blower is just fine with 30,000 on it. i have 74,000 on mine right now. i talked to someone at vortech and i was told you really dont need to have it rebuilt unless there is something wrong. im running 9 psi on the 3.33 and i have no air leaks, infact i just cleaned my impeller yesterday! run some synthetic(mobile one) and you shouldnt have any problems. buy a new idler pulley when you go to install the kit. its a Dayco brand 76mm flat with flanges (6 rib), you can get this at advance auto . good luck to ya

The V1 Blower sounds really dam* good right ??
I still have to way my options in buying this kit...Dont know if i wanna have boost or not
Is Installation of the V1 blower any easier than the V2 blower ?? I was going to look into haveing it installed but if the V1 doesnt really need to be perfectly aligned like the V2 maybe ill do it myself ??

Buy it! That's my own SC kit. Very, very reliable. The belt never shredded on me. And that was the original belt the previous owner already had on it. Buy it, have some fun with it, and if you want to later on, you could send it to Vortech to upgrade it to a V2. The V1 sounds awesome. Good luck.

Here are some vids for those who want to take a trip back down V1 memory lane, and for those who have never heard it before. These vids are of Loren back in my home town of Big D.

Please Right Click and "Save As" these vids, please don't let these get taken down because of over worked bandwidth.

V1 Max start up (posted this before but it is still one of my favorites, shows how awesome it sounds at idle.)

How do you run a 9 psi on a 3.33 pulley? IIRC it's rated for 7 psi.

I hit 9psi with the stock pancake filter, it was 40 degrees outside too, yesterday i hit 8 psi and it was 82 degrees outside so i think its time for the cold air intake but i cant really find anything that i am comfortable with putting on my car. i have been to home depot and cant even find anything 3 1/2 inches so im trying to get this custom exhuast/ turbo manifold maker to bend or weild me up one, do you guys think i should go the traditional route through the fender or down where the wiper fluid box is and just relocate that?????????????

Go through the fender, it is really the only way to get away from the engine for a true CAI. If you want I will be taking pics of my kit next week and sending to all of those interested in buying it. I could send you the ones of the CAI to give you a better idea of what kind of set up you are looking for (PM me if you want these pics.)

P.S. This blower hit 11psi with the 3.125 pulley and CAI.

Mmmm! 11 psi! Got my 3.125" still in the box. Have my parts for the CAI but I have to find a smaller window washer reservoir.

I recieved some PM's about the civic vids not working. The page did go down for a couple of days but is now back up, PLEASE RIGHT CLICK AND SAVE AS so it doesn't happen again.

It will take two years for the window where you name the file and location to come up, be patient, once you start down loading it is not that bad.

Matty - I already sent you a PM in reply to yours.

one thing to think about - th V1 is REALLY loud.

Some people like it, some people (like me) find it annoying.

Mine could be heard 1/8th mile away. It was cool when everyone would look when I pulled up at meets and such, but not cool at all when at a stoplight next to a cop or picking up the future in-laws from the airport.
