the growl turns into a roar! and it all depends on your exhuast set up but alot of the sound comes from the s/c

its a different sound more of a powerful roar than just the sound of air being sucked in.. instead f people saying sounds like your sucking in the whole world, they will say damn your engine sounds very strong

So true! I always get a good gathering of people when I pop open the hood and give it a few good revs. Those that stood the closest always tell me that they just feel the power! When I dynoed last fall everyone in the shop loved how much that sc'ed engine sounded.

no whine on SC maxima. probably the whine noise you heard on a mustang is from a root type blower.

aint that the truth, i had the v1, sounded like something mean and angry lot of bearing noise. the v2 has a slight whistle because of the belt
but it goes away after 3000rpms.

:o)

Why is it that I disagree with all of you guys? We have the same charger, same car. ?? I can only speak for the V2 but to me it is quiet. At idle, it sounds like a referee is ever so slightly blowing through his wistle. At rev, any exaust note over powers the sound of the SC.

i agree with you. the v2 is quiet but you still know its there by the slight belt noise. and yes it completely stops after you give it gas

V1 is nearly inaudible from inside the car at highway speeds.
