Could be BOOST time, HELP!

Hey guys!

I have a couple of questions, I just came into some money (hah busting my @ss all sumer) and I am thinking of buying a SC. I need boost after living in Australia for 6 months being surrounded by skylines, WRX's and Silvia's. My max is a 1996 with 130,000 miles on the original engine and 5spd Tranny. Trying to figure out what I will need to upgrade or purchase before doing this assuming I buy the Supercharger. Also the SC i am looking at has 43,000 highway miles - is that something to be worried about? How much do rebuilds cost and where would i have that done? Also how do the Max's tranny's hold up running about 9lbs of boost? Also, my clutch was just replaced 5k miles ago...I know people suggest you replace the clutch with a performance clutch but which is best for my application? Also how bad is a clutch install, I'm pretty handy and have lots of good help around the house and the necessary tools. LAST THING - is there anyone around the MA, RI, CONN area that would be interested in helping out an org member out of the goodness of their hearts or for some money?

Performance Mods: Intake, Y-pipe...

Thanks soooo much guys! I'm boost retarded...so no flames.

Check compression on your motor - if all is well - on with the boost.

What can i expect as far as boosted mpg and other wear and tear issues that would come up with an older car with high miles? (1996 with 130,000)

Also, would i need to replace the stock clutch if i was to go to a supercharged setup running 9lbs, if so how much of a PAIN is it?

Mpg will drop because of the urges to stomp the pedal.

I'd wait until your stock clutch goes before you replace it but I'd have the clutch replacement on hand when that happens!
