Supercharger??Intercooler??

Anybody familiar with superchargers for the 3rd gens and what all I need? I have a friend who used to have a 92SE but sold it, and he still has an intercooler and charger and some types of hoses or pipes with it. He's gonna bring the kit up to the shop today and I would be giving him a complete sub/amp combo for it. The only thing is that I have no idea all whats involved in putting this on or if I want this or not. Im going to take pics but they'll probably be up late tonight or tomorrow. If you know about these type of things, please reply so that I can find out just what this is.

in that case don't trade...seriously it won't be worth it if you don't have a clue. sc/tcing the 3rd gen is not simple. don't buy/trade anything until you have a clue of what you're getting into.

and yes, there was a SCd 3rd gen a a few months ago

A little, it's for a 4th gen, but I am sure you need most of it. http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=291403

Ok, the above is confirmed. You might want to go to a shop that has an idea about this kind of stuff.

Ok, for every picture you take, there will be more questions which you can't answer.

Here's a few to help you out. If you can answer these, trade the stereo stuff for the SC. If not, get a local shop to help you....

1) Is the impeller in good condition?
2) What belt P/N do you need?
3) Does the BOV recirc?
4) What rpm is the surge limit on the blower?
5) Is it a 8:1 or 6:1 disk?

Since I'm getting hooked up, then I'll just start learning now. I already know I cant do it alone. But I aint gonna let this pass by me, especially if I can use it. I'll just buy what all else I need to get it done. I still havent even seen the joint yet! Supposedly today is the day. Worse comes to worse a shop will put it in for me.

it not as easy as "putting it in"....look to fab a mounting braket and other one-off custom things to make this work. just getting an SC and intrcooler and saying hey look at these means nothing...what type of SC is it? also do a search, you'll find pic of a VG30E with an SC setup
