its not bolt on.

supposedly however the vg33e heads are identical to the vg30e heads which would mean you could put the intake manifold and supercharger from the vg33er (r = supercharger) and bolt it straight to a vg30e which came in the 89-91 maxima se and 89-94 maxima gxe.

ve and vq engines would take quite a bit of fabrication to make that work. hell, i bet there would be quite a bit of fabrication for the vg30e as well but i'm not positive yet.

A blower is a blower, it has nothing to do with the way it is designed.

Your thinking of the intake manifold part of the equation. Roots blowers are incorporated into the intake manifolds and cram air into the engine. The blower is detachable from the manifold. The type of engine it is used on has nothing to do with it.

You can make it work. I had two superchargers, a vortech and an Eaton M90, totally custom. But I suspect the blower from the Xterra is a POS anyways, probably an Eaton M60 or somethin'.

Wow, thats one haggard little blower...probably makes 4psi before it starts to get inefficient. Theres no way you should ever consider putting that travesty of a blower on your car ever again.
