Preparing for Boost?

What would you recommend for preping a 95 5 Speed for Boost and Nitrous?

Mod's...please move this. Why would you post about boost preperation when this is all-motor and the boost forum is listed like 2 lines up from this forum?

I was going to bash on your age, but since I'm only 15 myself and have been treated kindly here for the most part, I'm not going to. But just curious...as a 14-year-old, why are you concerned with prepping any car for boost? Especially when you live in NJ and won't be driving for quite awhile...

Or is your listed age just a joke?

his post count is 14, his age is unknown (though probabaly not far off).

interesting idea(?) - new members to the Org have post permissions only on a Newbie forum, read-only everywhere else.

My bad...I saw 14 and thought that was his age

Also...I like your idea! I hope the mods see this...and you might wanna post it in the suggestions forum. You know, the forum where you post suggestions. Kinda like how you post questions about superchargers/turbochargers in the superchargers/turbochargers forum. Weird how that works, huh?

Depends on how much boost or nitrous. The VQ engine holds up well to around 15 psi of boost or a 100 shot of nitrous without having to go inside the engine.

Do a compression check, regardless, to make sure you don't have any weak cylinders, and to check whether you have excessive carbon buildup in an older engine. A lot of carbon buildup can cause preignition and detonation problems.
