um the VQ in the 4th gen is ALOT more efficient than the VG and will make more than 500hp on the stock internals if truned properly. its been done several times

The VQ is more refined and 108lbs lighter than the VG...Aluminum Block and Aluminum heads...More Better

Put the 5th motor in the 4th gen

No
Read up on the VQ
Stop trying to swap in other motors.

Throw your VG in a dumpster. Finding out that 370s won't support 26psi on your VG is no engineering feet. There is plenty of information available on turboing the VQ.

Yeah I think the VQ could get somewhere close to 500 whp on 17-20 psi depending on turbo. But I wouldn't run that on a daily basis.

any way if our being serious you can try to throw the J30 VG30DE in there. Aftermarket internals are pretty cheap for that car and it would outflow the old VG engine you want to use.

you can put the VG30DE(TT) internals into a VG30E. to put the pistons in you must have the rods. you can also put the crank in with some machining of the crank snout.

i'm sure you guys saw the post up top (26psi), the reason i asked was i wanted a newer body and that motor has already proven itself to me. I did not want to start all over again and turbo a diff motor that i would have to retune. I was going to just fabricate some mounts and put it in, along with the computer and wire harness. But i just picked up a 93 today auto with no rust, so i will switch all my parts over... thanks

You could just change like a few things and have everything the 94 has anyway if you don't want to swap the motor and tranny to the VE. There is nothing wrong with those who mod there VEs or turbo their VGs but why would you want to go through the trouble to swap a much older and less efficient engine. The VQ30DE runs circles around the VG30E. No comparision. The Turbo Z31 has about the same hp as an stock NA A32 maxima. That is sad.
