New sticky - take a look

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....00#post3458200

I thought it would be good to have a database of boosted dynos for easy comparison against other boosted cars, so we don't have to sift through all the NA dynos in the dyno forum.

Come on people, post your dynos! It's going to look pretty silly if I'm the only one in that thread.

Posted my Dyno

Stephen - yours isn't showing up again.

When going to the link for your img directly, it says:
"We are sorry, your request has caused an error. Please press back on your browser and try again."

Want me to host it on my site? Cardomain sucks.

Send me a PM if you do.

I am going to dyno again this friday....I will post after that

*Also, do all of you all dyno in fourth? The two other times I have dynoed I have been in third, does it really matter (my whole reasoning was that third would be a shorter pull to redline=not getting as hot)

Strange Stephen how my Dyno shows more torque through the band than yours, but less peak hp by far.

man I gotta fix that leaned out up top condition.....

I found that interesting, too. I would have thought you'd make more peak power because you're running a smaller pulley and because of your 3" exhaust. I guess my headers really shine at high rpm. Makes me wonder what I would get with a larger diameter catback.

Gotta love the torque in Bags' dyno, though.

Well - let me get around to fixing my lean issue and Dyno again and then we'll have a better comparison....

I believe running that lean up top is killing his top end dyno numbers. I agree the headers do shine on FI cars but once his car is tuned correct I'd say 350whp should be well within reach. I also noticed from your run files that was a 3rd gear pull, did you happen to make any 4th gear runs?
I'd say a 3" b pipe would probably yeild you 8-10 more whp on top of what you have now bc isn't the apexi WS less than 2.5" ID?

Nice enough, but he seems to be misinformed about certain aspects of Maximas and VQ30s. I take most of what he says with a little skepticism.

No, but when I dyno again next week I'll do both 3rd and 4th gear runs.

Well, this is simply taking program "A" for the A32 MAF and reprogramming it to "B" for the Z32 MAF.

Hopefully he won't screw that up. And hopefully on install I won't have the issues I had before with the Z32 MAF. At least now I know it's wired right and the MAF is good because it worked with the stock ECU so I could pass emmissions.

I found doing runs in 3rd gear actually lowered my numbers on the Dyno. Didn't make sense at the time. Can anyone elaborate on that happening?

ian, did you see that rear o2 sensor fix in the 4th gen forum?

maybe a sim for a 95-96 on your car would fix it

There are two reasons for that. One is increased transmission gear friction when you are at a gear ratio that is not close to 1:1, the other is that in 3rd gear the wheels will be accelerating faster than in 4th gear. Since they accelerate faster, they bleed off power that would otherwise go into accelerating the roller.

How much did the 3rd gear runs lower your numbers?

I don't have any problems with my Rear O2 Sensor.

The code I get from my JWT ECU is "EGRC Solenoid valve" (1005) - but it doesn't cause a CEL - just a phantom code.

I lost aobut 15whp/15tq in 3rd gear.

On my one run in 3rd gear it lowered my numbers 30whp but I believe it was from the 224 dyno which has a tiny roller. I was just comparing the run files you sent me and your run from 2300 lasted 9 seconds in 3rd, and my 3rd gear run from 3600 lasted less than 5 seconds. I doubt 1300 rpms would add 4.5 secs to the dyno pull, but that was just reference. My 4th gear pull from 2900 lasted a little over 10 secs for another comparision. When I figure out whats wrong with the car, and get the blower upgraded and built I will redyno on a 248 with the larger roller. So by then I will have some data from the T-trim blower to compare to the S-trim if all goes well.

Shezam! That's a lot. I didn't think it would be that much.

I have a new dyno but I do not know how to post it out of my email and I think if I put it on my cardomain it will be too small when I post....if someone could post it up for me I can foward it to someone.

Bags, could you please put cardana's dyno graph in the "Post dyno results here" sticky?

Cardana, once the graph is in the sticky, add the pertinent information to the thread (how much boost, power adding mods, etc.).

Cardana, could you edit your post and indicate what transmission you have?

Thanks!
