Not sure if this is the correct place to post this but here it goes. My 00 Max has a Level 10 VB for sure and torque converter but not sure on the rest of it, it is starting to slip as you put it into gear, all gears drive reverse L2 and L1. Manual swap is out of the question because Wifey dosen't want a stickshift while she is pregnant so my question is: Which company makes the best tranny for a S/C car, I would like somewhat hard shifts and everyday durability, the Levelten guy says that he will work with me on a price since I for sure have there VB and TC, and will range anywhere from $1500-$2500 depending on whether or not my tranny has there guts in it. Please help soon because I will be taking it out this weekend to get -r- done.
Thanks

if you already have L10 stuff in there...then go w/ L10 and see if they can work something out w/ you.

there's also another company in NJ that does the performance trannies too.

Level 10 is junk and will still give your problems again. For what they are asking I would go with a NRH tranny. It is warranteed for life and will hold up to 600hp and also has a posi traction dif. I have one and REDMAX had one (before killed his car). It is the way to go in my opinion. I think REDMAX may even still have it for sale (he pulled it out of his car)

NRH is in Maryland and there number is 301-617-2500 Ask for Rob. Depending on what you want done, it will cost you about $2500 and you will have to send him your tranny. He gives you all kinds of options and advice on what to get. Really nice guy too.

Yeah, I am going to get my tranny out and to Rob, I did talk to him, and he is going to set me up with a posi and change gears if I want and stall converter if I want, not sure what I would have the converter set at though not to into that??? He even shipped me a crate to send my tranny back in! All of this for under $2500 SWEEEEEEEEEEEEET!

Get the 2500-2700 RPM stall converter. That is what I got and it is enough for great torque of the line, but not so bad that you can't drive it everyday. Which is important to me since I am a Realtor. Only side affect is that most the time you can't just take your foot of the pedal and have it pull up on idle. Most of the time you have to actually give it some gas. Congrats

Yeah, me neither!! My car is proof of it, and maybe there is a few good ones or maybe mine is just a bad one but I have been hearing quite a few mixed stories, I will never do Level 10 again!! Just my .02

I haven't heard any good stories about Level 10. I did a lot of reaserch before I decided on the NRH tranny. And I did not like what I heard about L10. Just my 2 cents..
