Exhaust question...

What kind of exhaust set-ups are you TC/SC'd people running? Is it a good idea to buy the cattman mid-pipe and eliminate the cat for a test-pipe?

it seems as though the general rule of thumb for boosted maximas is 3 inch exhaust. i definitely wouldn't go smaller myself and bigger might start getting hard to stuff under the car and may not be needed.

yeah headers are 2.5 in.... warpspeed has a 3 inch b pipe. Bear in mind they use these pos clamps with a bunch of precut bends that you kinda put together and clamp together.

I am running a 3" downpipe right off the turbo, to that I am going to connect a 2.5" catback, and going to have a 3" electronic cutout between the downpipe and catback so that when I need that extra 30hp I can have it, but so that when I don't need it I can have a car that is pretty quiet and retains sleeper status.

which cutout??

There is a local sc'd IS owner who did that and his leaked. He had to use some hi temp liquid gasket to get it to be 99% sealed

THis one

http://www.mccordcg.com/mpp/mpp.htm

And from what I have read on the mustang forums, the best sealing cutout is the manual type that have nuts holding it in place.. just easy access

All electronic cutouts seem to have that problem from the research I have done. Just some RTV red sealant to remedy it. I don't want to have to get out of the car to open it.
