Finally bought injectors!!

I finally got my RC 440cc injectors and a walboro pump. Just need to wait on the wiring harnesses to get here and install them sometime next week. I am going to try and tune these with the SAFC 2 and if it doesn't work i will get the emanage. Will i be able to throw out the fmu now or do i still need it? Hopefully i will be going to the dyno next month with the headers and exhaust cuttout and see what kind of nasty numbers the old sled will lay down

no FMU is needed with Emanage...not sure on the AFC though, pretty sure you'd want 1:1 though, so I'd say no FMu with that either, but a good adj. FPR

Just bought me a set of PE510cc injectors too.

How much you end up paying for the RCs?

RC440s easily support 300-350whp at stock fuel pressure and with a Walbro or your Trex bumping the fuel pressure a bit, even more.

Got them for $420 w/ the wiring harness. Why did you get bigger injectors? Do you have something planned ?

You dork~!

Are you 100% SURE you're getting the EXACT same injectors the 350Z guys use? They make more then one version of 440cc injector.

You planning on controlling those with just eManage? Or JWT and eManage?

IceY2k1,

I'm going to be using the eManage to controll them.MardiGrasMax said it would work by setting the e-manage back to 7-0-1 for stock Z32maf and set the injectors for 370cc/740cc. He then said It idled fine, reved fine, and was hunting for 14.7afr. Just needed to be tunned some more to get it done right. I'm also letting SGP in Houston do my tunning so I should not worry much.

Let us know how it turns out, since he tried that with his JWT(programmed for 550cc injectors) ECU, I think.

You have the Z32 MAF?

So, you're planning on turning down base fuel pressure to get these to not flood during cold starts?

*IF* that works, you'll want to keep your FMU.

You should get the eManage~! I'm 75% sure, you'll have to inorder to control the injectors.

Hopefully, those big sloppy RCs can still decently atomize down to 15psi or so to put out approximately the same fuel as stock 290cc. However, 4th gens running 370cc injectors didn't have to drop near that far to go from 240cc-->370cc.

I'd say 20-25psi would be ballpark.

I already had RC440s and sold them, so I know what they look like.

It's the design, ie 3-huge holes vs. OEM 4 super small vs. PE380cc 10 small holes vs. PE510cc 8 small holes.

Idle quality is all about the atomization and the size/number/angle of pintle cap holes. RCs are notorious for being good at WOT, but rough at idle.

Hopefully, yours aren't that bad, but 350Z guys noticed it at 3.5bar and you'll be running them at ~1.5bar.

How much you end up paying for the RCs?

Does this mean your modding your car?

What rice mods don't count?

Maybe, maybe not. However, I'm leaning towards a dry N20 setup and hopefully someday I'll make a custom TRUE Garrett dual BB setup. Sometimes I just say F'it and would settle for a V2 SC kit when I see people like StephenMax hitting 350whp.

Who knows...right now I just live vicariously through you guys and stockpile mods in my garage/office.

Haha...I think Bags is closer.

I have tons of "pipe dreams", pun intended, but it all just depends on life stuff.

It's all designed in my head, been that way for months, and I have all the people/pieces lined up. I just haven't had the opportunity to pull the trigger. I promised myself when 5yr/60K warranty died and payments were over...which is about a year away, but then I said this summer. However, now the fam needs a new SUV for the new kid coming in May. Oh well, back to living though you guys.
